May Have Ms, Please Help!
Posted: 01-25-05 20:18pm

I'm a 21 year old college student who started having symptoms about 4 months ago. It started with a really bad headache that took a week to get over, then the left side of my neck started hurting and the muscle spasms started coming. I was totally freaked out because i've always been a healthy, active person and all of a sudden I was just tired and exhausted. Well, with all this stuff happening my left arm felt as if was being held tight while I was getting numbness in my hand. I went to my family doctor who just wanted to prescribe me medicine for everything, which didn't help, then I was sent to a nuerologist who didn't want to do anything for me because I had no insurance. I just kinda gave up after that and the symptoms seemed to subside but for the past few weeks I had this burning sensation throughout the left side of my neck and tingling in my left arm and foot. I also started getting my headaches again with muscle twitching. I don't know whats wrong with me and to top it off my left eye has this heavy feeling with twitching. Can somebody please tell me something.

Hello,

ms is different for different people but headaches are not usually that closely associated with initial symptoms. It sounds neurological for sure, but might not be ms.

Difficult situation. I wish you well

It Could Be Ms

Hi, it sounds to me as it could be ms. My husband had the numbness and still does on the right side. It started in is pinky and then went to his whole side. He is better now that he is taking ms meds. I would definately get ins. Threw the state or gov. And go to the neurology doc and have them do a cat scan and look for scar tissue which are called leisiens. Hope all is well and you get the attention you need.
