Hey everyone, this is my first time here. I have an impacted lower wisdom tooth. The x-rays showed that there are going sideways and hitting on the other teeth. I feel incredible pressure pain for the past few days and I have to wait till next week tuesday jan 25 for removing them. My question is is there any temporary relief on this and I am also afraid if waiting for a week of this pain would cause damage to other teeth. Could anyone share their experience or any feedback on this? I would feel lot better if you do. Thanks

They practically always take out wisdom teeth, didn't they give you any meds, I would call and talk to the dentist or the assistant.
Sincerely,

Let Me Clarify
Yes they suggested I shud take pain killers and they told me they will take it out on tuesday. I guess I wasnt clear with my question.

I wanted to know if the pain from the pressure of wisdom tooth would cause any damage to other teeth because I have been waiting for almost a week since I have this pain. I am really worried about it and I am taking ibuprofen 3 times a day and 2 percogesic in the night to relieve the pain but I still feel a lot of pain after I eat especially.

One week won't hurt.. I waited 4 weeks between when my pain set in and when I got mine out.. (this was only due to scheduling issues between school and a previous scheduled vacation). I lived on ibuprofen for 2 weeks, but luckily the 2 weeks prior the pain subsided. The tooth won't shift enough in a week to do any damage so I wouldn't worry about that. If the x-rays had showed differently, your dentist wouldn't be waiting a week.

Thanks for response. The dentist is taking long because of scheduling. He suggested 3 ibuprofen a day so I have been taking that for almost a week. However, yesterday I had pain in my stomach so I stopped using it. Did anyone have this problem and how did you feel better? I have heard of peptobismol but I dont know if I shud use that.

Thanks in advance
