How to Say No Without Being Rude? Posted: 01-22-05 16:14pm
Okay, I dont want people over when suni
gets home, its a big risk and its
flu/cold/everything season. How do I say
no, without offending anyone?

Just say no.........
You are her mother you dont have to
explain anything to anyone..
But if you do just tell them for medical
reasons that no one can be around her
right now. That is what I did

I totally understand you hil...My mom was
telling everyone to come stay with us
after my baby is born, and I was
like...Uh, when I get home, me and luis
want to be alone with her, it is our first
baby, and I doubt like im gunna feel like
entertaining someone. I agree with tazzy,
just say no. They dont need an
explination.

I agree. Saying no isn't being rude,
she's ur baby. They really have no say in
what u do.

I think if they care enough to want to
come visit you and your baby they'll also
understand if you tell them that for
medical reasons she's really not ready for
visitors yet. If they get mad or upset
it's their problem. You're her mom and
you're the one who decides when she's
ready and when people come over. Maybe
you could say something like "i can't wait
for you to meet her and see her, but i've
talked with the doctors and they said she
shouldn't be exposed to visitors or other
people for a while, especially with it
being cold and flu season and all." anyone
who gets mad or thinks that's rude is
someone who cares more about their own
stuff than about you and your new baby.
Good luck.
