So how come they have rights when the child is going to be put up for adoption, but not abortion? Yes, its a woman's body, but it's also his child.

Fathers Rights
Brilliant someone is actualy thinking of the father for once to much emphasis is put on it being the mothers choice where as if the mother chose to continue the pregnancy the father has no choice but to pay child support.

yes womans body but mans sperm= equal parts played in conception therefore the father should have just as much say in what happens in the pregnancy.

I ask because me and my fiance dont want errr his mistress to abort... She wants to. It will most likely be a crack baby (not if she quits now) she needs to quit drugs either way. The thing is I can handle preemies, hello, I am now! tell me that not wanting to stop using drugs and partying is not a selfish reason.

hey, I completely agree with you but i'm just saying what the "others" here will say. It's my prediction--lol. I always thought the father should have just as much of a say. There are so many deadbeats out there, I think it's wonderfull to see men who care so much!

I also believe that the father should have a say in whether or not his baby is aborted. The baby is also a part of him. Not all men are dogs and don't want to take care of their children. What if that man really wanted that baby? Do his feelings not count?

My prediction: I agree--the pro-choice will come back and say oh blah blah blah 'it's making me sick and it's using my recourses' and all that stupid crap. But it's a terribly lame argument.

Abortion doesn't only affect the woman it affects the father, siblings, grandparents...Etc....

Exactly this fetus will be my children's half sibling (maybe, it could be another guys). Im even willing to pay her co-pays, go to her appts with her, and raise the child, letting her visit if she gets clean.

yeah.. It's her body going through pregnancy not yours so if she wants to abort.. Let her.. It's not up to you in the slightest bit so deal with it. You are going to let a poor crack baby into this world just so they can suffer? Do you know what they go through? It's not a matter of parenting, it's a matter of whether or not she wants to gestate or want she wants to happen.. And she wants to abort so deal with it. She doesn't need your permission.

so what if it affects the other people? Don't tell me that that's selfish for saying that because it's selfish to make someone suffer through pregnancy so that you can have a kid without going through all the trouble. I am not going to gestate so someone else could enjoy my child should I have birthed it instead.. They want a kid.. Adopt one! So what if the guy wanted the baby? He's not the one that's pregnant.. Simple as that. He doesnt' have to go through it so he shouldn't have the slightest authority over it. Don't like it? Tough!

Btw.. I don't agree that the father should have a say in adoption unless he is willing to raise it completly on his own without any help from the mother. He wants it.. He gets it.

Brandy the reasons are purely selfish and u cant deny it.

If its his or not, I dont care frankly. This child and the mother deserve another chance. I was given one and im going to try to help give her and her child one.

Haha yeah she's the saaame one, I hate her, but I aint gonna punish the child for it.

adoption and childbirth aren't the only option either. If I want to abort should I get pregnant.. Bf will have no say..He's the only reason I have sex anymore in the first place. If he tries to coerce me.. We will break up.

selfish selfish, selfish.. So fucking what!! Tell you what.. If you are going to raise that kid all on your own without her help at all. Then maybe but that still does not take away the fact that she is going to gestate for nothing.. It's not your choice so get over it.

that is the whole point sami and her partener do want to adopt his child
you do,nt think that the father should have any say bd have you ever thought that if the father has to pay child support then it should work both ways. You ca,nt force a father to pay child support then say it,s nothing to do with you.

I see where you're going with child support. I do believe that a father should have a right to sign away his parental rights. The only thing with this is that (problem for your side) is that many more women will abort. The father could say he wants the kid and then when it comes.. He could ditch her and then say he doesn't want it anymore and the kid will be left uncared for.
