Hello,
I need help understanding something. My girlfriend tells me that last year she would hear people in her head and they would talk to her and argue amoungst themselves in her head. She said there was one who would cry and get made fun of by the mean one. The mean one would also tell her to cut herself and she would wake up and there would be cuts on her wrist she didnt remember doing. Im a psychology major and the three voices sound like the id,superego, and ego to me. Is she schizophrenic or just have a huge imagination. I would also like advice on the cutting situation too. She doesnt hear the voices or cut anymore or so she tells me. Thanks for any help.

She could have just been through a hard time. Or maybe had a bad childhood. Why don't you get her to talk to you about things that are bothering her. I know what it is like to cut. And to have people in my head telling me to cut. It is not an easy thing to go through. And you need someone to talk to and to comfort you. Have her tell you things and see if that doesn't help.

Good luck!
