I wouldn't worry about it unless it
continues to grow or becomes painful or
gives you headaches. It may be a sore, a
small cyst, or even just a bone spur (all
of which would be harmless).

I went to see a doc yesterday but they
told me my headaches were just tension so
I went to the hospital today and got a
catscan. They said everything looked
fine. Nothing to worry about.

Bony Lump At Base of Skull Posted: 10-11-05 13:28pm
I have a bony lump at the base of my skull
kind of behind my left ear- there is also
one of these bones on the right side but
the left side is larger and now it is
sore- maybe because I am messing with it
all the time.
