Im preg I have my 1st docter visit tomm
and ive been sick with a cold since last
monday I work in childcare so everyone has
been really sick we had a case of the
fifth disease in my school ive always
heard that it was bad for preg women to
get around the 5th disease is that true
and why? I haven't took any cold medicine
b/c everyone tells me you can't until you
see your docter. Im tired of being sick!
:x is it ok to be sick this long and
preg?

I've had a bad cold since last thursday.
I was allowed taking some bennelin dm, and
cough drops (1 every hour) didn't help
much though. Drink water with lemon, and
when you go to the doc's tomorrow, ask
them what u can do. Being sick right now
sux!!!!

I had a bad cold not that long ago, when I
went to see my doctor he said that having
a cold is nothing to worry about, the only
thing to be concerned with is if you are
running a fever. He said you can take 2
regular strength tylenol, or 1 extra
strength tylenol to bring down the fever.
(make sure it is tylenol, not aspirin,
advil, it has to be the brand name
tylenol. Lol) he said that is the only
pain/fever medication that is proven safe
to take for pain/fever when you are
pregnant. He said if the fever doesn't
break with tylenol, then you would have to
go to the er, just because it's not good
for your body temperature to be above
normal. I know it really sucks having a
cold when there isn't really much you can
take to make you feel better. Sorry to
hear you're under the weather, take care,
hopefully you'll be over the cold soon.

I have had a severe cold since last
week..Sore throat, fever, etc. I talked
w/my doc yesterday and she said robitussin
work's really good or tylenol. It's cold
season, I hate it!!!

You know you could go to the pregnancy

Cold remedies:
always check over-the-counter cold
medications for alcohol, sugar, caffeine,
or aspirin. All medications should be
taken as directed and for no longer than 7
days. If symptoms persist, call the
office.
