Q: IUI and pain

My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for the last 2 1/2 years. I am currently taking Clomid as well as Metformin. Clomid alone did not work. Last month (June '03) we had our 1st IUI (well I did) and it did not work. Just last week we had our 2nd IUI (July '03) and there was one more follicle than last time. I had two follicles on my right side and it hurt to walk during my ovulation surge. Last month it was also painful on both sides but not as much as this time. Was the pain due to ovulation and has anyone else experienced this type of pain. I would get sharp pains (cramps) and every step I took it was painful. Now it is 5 days after my 2nd IUI, and I have started with the pain again. It is not as intense but I am crampy on both sides including my back. The pain scares me as well as excites me. I hope it is due to pregnancy, but worry that something may be wrong. I had the pain last month (week after the IUI) but not as intense. HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCE THIS AND WHAT IS IT DUE TO. thanks

I have experience bloating, pms type pain starting on day 11 or so, and continuing through the cycle. I also had sharp pains during my ovulation, and some cramping after the iui. I was definitelysore, and had trouble walking during the peak.

I don't know about pain coming back long after the iui. Hope you'll ask the doctor. Do you have nurses that call you with blood results? They're always very helpful for me.

-k.

Iui And Oain
I also just had an iui done and am experiencing terrible pain. My pain is terrible. I have been in bed for three days and am having trouble walking as well. I also wrote in a message to see if anyone experienced this. I am hoping it is a good sign.

Pain
Just had my 5th iui today, it wasn't very painful at all, I was worried... The re said I only had one follicle... That is why it was not painful..
I can related to it hurting when you walk.. . It feels like something is inside of you that is going to pop!!! Like gas pressure (not so much the farting kind ha ha) just pressure. My re says it is a good sign, and I can tell them which ovary has the follicle(s), before they do the iui!!! The side the follicle is in, is the side it hurts on. Let me know how you are doing and if it works for you... Good luck to you and all of us!!!

Pain almost inside the womb after IUI
My husband and i have been trying to start a family for the last 1 and 1/2 years...
the docs have done all possible tests on earth on me and found one fallopian tube blocked but said one was still good enough to try for IUI...the 1st IUI was very easily done...no pain no unusual or uneasy feeling...it didnt work...we gave a gap of 01mnth and then went for the 2nd IUI...now after the 2nd time...i bled the next day and have back ache and a pain ....the insemination is done on my right side and i have a heavy feeling on my right side......

I think each of us will have different experience as all our body structures are different...i wish good luck to all

IUI and pain or pressure the next day, is it ovulation or what?
I just had my first iui with clomid and metformin, and I am experiencing a pain that is similiar to a gas pain? It feel strange. I had 2 follicles, one on each side both 20mm and then he gave me an iui. But, there was air bubbles in there as he was injecting the sperm and that has me worried! During sex the next day folling the iui I felt alot of pressure almost like I was going to pop with every move? Is that an ovulation pain?
