Q: Expired Ortho Evra?

Does anybody know if it's ok to use ortho evra patches on or shortly after their expiration date?I have two packages left, and they both say that they expire february 2005. I want to use them up if possible, but i'm not sure if you're supposed to use drugs the month they expire. Also, do you think it would be ok to use one of the packages through march? I don't see why the patches should suddenly become useless as soon as the expiration date arrives, and i've heard that they only put expiration dates on drugs to guarantee their effectiveness up to that point. Any input is welcome!

Hmm I dunno about that.. You should probably ask your doctor or pharmacist. I wouldn't use something that has expired though, just to be on the safe side.

I would call your pharmacy and ask about it. Sometimes the expiration dates are actually when you need to dispense them by. I am assuming you mean two patches left.. If that is the case you should be fine..
