Q: Overbite Coming Back??

I had a bad overbite a few years ago and that was fixed with wearing braces for about two years. I guess it's about three years later since I have had the braces taken off. I am fearing that my overbite is coming back. Is that even possible? If so, is there a way to correct it without braces again? Thanks. :)

Hey there.Yes,your overbite can relapse(come back) if you do not wear you retainers.I do not think some orthodontists stress this enough, and as a result, many people stop wearing them or do not wear them enough.Sorry, but there is no way to correct your overbite without some type of orthodontia. There is invisalign now,but it is dependant on you being 100% responsible for wearing the appliances.Hope that was helpful, even if it wasn't very good news for you.Good luck.
