Fibriods And Thick Uterine Lining

Help -- I was just recently diagnosed with several fibriods -- 4 specific- range in size from 1-4cm , also with a thick uterine lining.
Can anyone out there tell me what is the treatment for this type of condition, I have been having alot of pain and heavy periods, also after my period is over I still have pain and I am worried that something else is wrong.
I go to see the Dr. On 1/31 for a consultation. But I am stressing out and I really could use some advice.
