See my post on does this all sound familiar/how do I get my boyfriend help!

If he goes and gets meds and takes them...Will the name calling stop, will he stop saying I hate you; I am not in love with you (but don't know why); get out of my house??? Keep in mind, he says this now, but he also counteracts each of these with "i love having you here"; I love this about you..."; "i love you"; "i don't want you to leave".

I am tired of this nonsense, he is 45 years old! I am getting physically ill over this now, very drained.

I am strong. I can leave, but I really love the man that I think he is. Who knows? Do the meds make bipolars 'normal'/nice.????

Honesty please!

Well....
Sounds like yes he could have a mood disorder. Seeing as that you have offered to go with him to see the docs and such but he has made no attempt he doesn't desire the help as much as you wish it for him. If you read my post to help my boyfriend memorized my password........Yes meds help. The only advice I can pass your way is this. If you think that this could be love (mind you my husband and I met and talked for three months over the phone then straight moved in with each other the day we met face to face) then go for it. Have the talk with him again about making an appointment. In fact have a few doctors and phone numbers handy. Don't give him a reason not to call and make the appointment. Again if you read my reply it took alot before I would accept the help I needed. It is really hard to accept that you are still young (and yes 45 is still young) and you will need to take meds for the rest of your life. I am 25 and still coming to terms with this fact. Be as supportive as you can, but keep in mind that he may not want the help.

Good luck!
