I stopped taking the pill just before thanksgiving (after taking it for 8-9 years).

The first part of december I became depressed and I can't seem to shake it. It is especially worse before and during my period.

Has anyone else had this experience?

Should I go to my doctor or just wait and see if my hormones level out?

I stopped taking my birth control about a month ago and I feel miserable. I'm so irritable and depressed all the time, I don't even want to be around myself! I don't know what to do.....Are you feeling any better yet? I'm getting kind of worried :(

I was taken yasmin for about five years. My sex drive decreased so I decided to get off of the pill. This was last september 2004. The first month of getting off I was like a lunatic. I've always have pms issues, but not to the point where I wanted to hit someone, even my little nephew whom I love dearly. For one whole month I stayed away from people in general. I exercise a lot because that's what I heard would help. After that first month, I got back to my happy self again for a couple of months. Now four months later, i'm moodier than normal but not like it was the first month. I'm contemplating on getting back to yasmin.
