I just found out that I am 4 weeks pregnant, which is wonderful news! I am exstatic, but at the same time, I don't want to get to excited because I know that it isn't uncommon for a first pregnancy to miscarry. Does anyone else worry about this, or anyone have any input?

Hi sherida

congrats!!!! Have you told your hubby yet ???

I found out I was pregnant on the 3rd of january after an in vitro.... And since then i've been worrying about miscarrying. But I must say, after the first week, I stopped worrying and started enjoying it....Im pregnant!!!! And especially looking at babystuff and looking for names and especially marvelling at the pictures of babydevelopments during the first 8 weeks, focusses your mind on more positive things ;-)

and everyday I feel beter, stronger and even more pregnant...Enjoy the ride

I Totally Hear Ya!
I just found out that I am 6 and a half weeks pregnant. I too am worried about a miscarriage but I have been talking to the doctors and they have said that there is nothing that causes a miscarriage aside from drinking and drugs and such things. Even though I have heard all these things I still worry and it is on my mind. The way they describe it is that if there is a miscarriage it is your bodies way of saying something was not right and while that does not make it anymore conforting they told me that if it does happen to keep in mind that it is nothing we as parents to be have done. So I keep it in my mind and try to be careful but the excitment of having a baby is starting to over rule the worry.

I am 9 weeks pregnant with twins and this is my first pregnancy. Even though I have had a sonogram and already heard their heartbeats, I can't help but worry about having a miscarriage. I try not to worry about it too much, but it is so hard. I am not even that far along and I already feel so attached to these babies and I can't wait for them to get here. I would be so devestated if I lost them.

So Glad Its Not Just Me!
Hi everyone reading your posts made me feel more relaxed. I am 5 weeks pregnant tomorrow and found out a week ago. I am so excited but paranoid that I may loose the baby by doing somthing so simple. I have always been told that you only miscarry if there is something wrong with the baby so I have to keep telling myself that. I am desperate to go and look at clothes and prams and tell the world, its the hardest secret I have ever had to keep. Nice to speak to people in the same situation as me. Congrats everyone!
