The baby has to co operate. I had my first ultrasound at 17 weeks and there was no way they could tell. This baby's legs we're shut tight. I get another one at 24 weeks, hopefully for my husbands sake they will be able to tell. But to answer your question yes they will be able to tell as long as the baby co-operates. Also they usually can't say for sure for sure. I know with my first child they said they didn't see anything so they thought it was a girl. And it was. I guess with boys its a little more obvious.
I dont know if in the states they will let you have other ultrasounds just to check the sex of the baby. I know in canada they don't allow it.

I get to find out friday what my baby is. This is my first baby. I am hoping for a girl but of course I will be happy with either. Therse are the names we picked.

I like those names....They're cute and are names that will fit when your childs a baby, toddler, teenager, and an adult. We decided on alison nicole-girl and jacob david -boy.

Some girl my husband works with is 7 months and she just found out what she's having....A 'lil girl. But every time she'd go they couldn't tell. I have mine in 4 weeks so i'm hoping they'll be able to tell us.

Hey girl I was kinda hoping the 29th I will be able to tell the sex of my baby too. The thing is my boyfriend does not want to know. I will be 17 weeks when I go. My boyfriend piked the girls name savannah rose, and I picked the boys name cayden phoenix. Lots of luck to you. Hope both of us will know at our nex appointment. Keep me posted everybody.
