Q: Knee Pain

I felt pain and stiffness in my left knee about 4am when still in bed. I woke up to take a tablet of brufen retard 800mg which I used to take for my gout. Is my knee pain related to my history in gout? I still have the pain after 3 tablets but a bit better. Can I continue to take it? Or what should I do?
