So I will do the best I can to remember what you said. If your sight is blurry, you should take that to mean that you have too much sugar in your system. Too much sugar in the eyes is really serious, so temporarily you should change your diet to a one that you would use as if you had diabetes. You do not want to eat any sugar, no white bread, no carrots, no potatoes, no beets, no sugar sodas and you should try to eat whole wheat bread with the least amount of sweetner (barley malt, molasses, maltodextrin, etc...these ingredients should be at the end of the list of ingredients). Then it is important to eat enough protein like tuna or chicken (skip beef and pork) and if you use mayo, make sure it is sugar free. Eat plenty of vegetable.
Then you will want to try to walk at least a couple times around the block if not more to reduce the sugar in your system. All this is to reduce the extra sugar in you system so that your eyes will be exposed to excess sugar for the least amount of time. They are very sensitive to excess sugar and it will destroy them.
As for your feet, the diet and the exercise above should solve that problem.
As to being misdiagnosed RE diabetes -- Yes, you can. At least they told me I did not have it when they did the simple blood test, but when they did the 4 hour fasting glucose test they found out I had glucose impaired intolerance or Type II Diabetes. Making the mistake the other way around would require lab error, mixed up test tubes, etc.
I hope this has been of some help. It is very quick to fix the excess blood sugar so it will not effect your eyes. Watch what you eat and excercise.
