what to do?
The best way to get their mind back on track is to just ask them consecutive questions. Do whatever you can to get their attention onto you and your question-asking.

It is good to know there are people concerned about what to do when someone is convulsing. There is no way to stop it ,let it ride its course,if the person is near something that could hurt them or if they are in a position where they may fall off something try to move them where they will not be hurt.Turn them on to their side ,when they are in a seizure the tongue may go limp and fall towards the back,if they are on their side this will help unblock their air passage and should they vomit it will make it easier.DO NOT STICK ANYTHING IN THEIR MOUTH .The teeth will clench.Dont try to hold them down as you can harm them and yourself. If the seizures happens repeatly(i have 2 grand mals ,one after the other, but no more)then medical assistance will probably be needed,if you should walk upon a situation like this and not know what the cause for the seizure may be ,get immediate medical help for the person.I sure hope someone like you should happen to be around should I have a seizure outside my home. Sincerely, Wink Tammy

Response For What to Do While Having a Seizure
Myself being epileptic and having a hard time with it getting worse, I know alot about my illness
when a person is having a seizure-depending on what type of seizure they are having-need to be in a safe place
if they are having grand-mal seizures, they are most likely unconcious
they need to be away from all furnature that they can hit or hurt themselves on
lay them on their side as carefuly as you can so they do not choke on their vomit
do not put anything in their mouth, be it your finger, medicine, or anything else as they can clinch their jaw and bite thru it or crack their teeth
remove anythign that is restricting-tight clothing, jewelry etc. Etc.
Carefuly watch their breathing and write down the exact times when they started seizing and how long it lasted nad anything unusual about the seizure
if they have not stopped seizing after about 2 minutes call 911
after about 2 minutes their brain can be starved of oxygen and or the seizure(neuro electrical imbalance) (basically electricuting the brain) can do damage to the brain
i hope this is of help to you :d

Im so sorry to hear your seizures are getting worse. After I had my last child ,my seizures took on a strange twists.I have blacked out and went about the grocery shopping with my toddlers with me ,and come to at the counter wandering what was happening. Most of the time it is more like i'm severly drugged and cannot keep a train of thought,or respond to others.More than anything ,i find it embarrassing and want to run for home, but I have managed through 14 years of this ,i am sure I have it far easier than others.I dont know how old you are ,but I have lived with this for 25 years,in that time the medical breakthroughs they have made are amazing. That they can remove the epileptic area in a brain and all is well, thats amazing. So keep the faith. :d by the way, what kind of medication are you taking?I take tegretol, but I have heard there are better options, the sad thing is they are beyond what I can afford, but its worth looking into.
