Ovulation is when an egg is released from the ovary and goes down the fallopian tube. This all happens inside you - you will not see it! Ovulation is the time of the month when you are most likely to get pregnant and usually occurs about 2 weeks before you get your period. If the egg is not fertilized it breaks down and becomes your menstrual flow. Hope this helps! :)

was going to ask the same thing... If she doesnt' know what ovo is then she is not old enough for sex but to each their own. I took sex ed back in 5th grade so i'm assuming they either skipped over that or she is in 4th grade or is being witheld information by either being taught an abstinence only program or she is in a private religious school.

Not nessecarily girls, I learned about my period, etc back in 4th grade and though they mentioned ovulation, they didn't go into detail with it. So I was clueless and thought you could get pregnant anyday of the month, except your period until I was like 14 or 15....
