Q: Whats Ovulation?

What's ovulation and what does it look like? If the egg releases from you body does that mean your not pregnant and you will have you period 14 days later???

Your egg goes from your ovary into your fallopian tubes-where it would be fertilized if there was sperm waiting for it. If no sperm, the egg travels into the uterus -the egg dies 6-24 hours after being released from the ovary. If no fertilization, the egg travels into the uterus (usually takes a week) then the lining of your uterus is shed-causing your period. If everything is working correctly-it is approx 14 days after ovulation that you will get your period
