Q: Period After Baby

When after you give birth, do you get your period back? A certain time, or just whenever you start bleeding? My friend mandi had her baby and she was 6 months old, and she got her period all the sudden we were at work one day. What makes it come back?

It varies greatly from person to person. Some people wont start for months, some will start soon after they finish bleeding (the giving birth kind of bleeding). If you breastfeed there is a chance that you will not have a period for the duration of the breastfeeding experience. However, this is not always true. I am breastfeeding and I started my period. It all depends on you.
