Early age weightlifting stunting growth? Posted: 07-28-03 11:54am
I started lifting heavy weights in the 7th
grade. I'm now a senior. I'm very built,
but I'm not as tall as the rest of my
family.
I'm about 5"8 with 145 lbs, and I'm
wondering if my growth has been stunted
due to early age weightlifting. Any
ideas?

did tests and studies and they found out
its just a myth. Your height is to

No
lifting weights early has no effect on
your growth, and is a dumb myth. Your
height is figured by genetics. Weight
lifting cant make you grow less. Think
about it, it doesnt make sense. Dont
worry about your height case you wont be
able to do anything about it.
