You probably do have it. You definately need to get some anti-virus software on your computer.

You can go into your settings and turn html off. I did that a few minutes ago and haven't gotten anymore virus pop-ups since. That might help. I'll let you know if it works.

How many more posts are we gonna start about this???
Can we all just use the one to save people like me retyping the same info over and over again?

Actually if someone could fix it you wouldn't be burdened with having to type the same info over and over again. :?

What I don't understand is why I am not being affected?

I have mailed admin anyway to get them to look further as the initial problem seesm to have been fixed - I assume they upgraded to a newer version of phpbb.

Maybe if you all clear your internet cache or temporary files maybe something is triggering something that has already got a temp file on your comp and as I don't keep those maybe that's why I don't have any problems.

Also I use a pop up stopper which means as no pop up get through I don't carry a risk of pop ups infecting me with anything.

I do have a pop up blocker intalled. I have all of my anti software updates along with automatic cleaning of all my cookies/cache/temporary files. As a matter of fact...I received another pop up (which is from norton anti-virus) indicating that another virus has been detected and deleted. There is a certain virus that I keep getting bloodhound exploit.6 which can not be deleted without going in and manually removing the file. Are you using internet explorer to view this board? Cause it's there and a lot of people are affected by it apparently.

yes. You are correct. There are two different virus' that are coming from this site. One is automatically deleted by norton...And the bloodhound exploit is not. You need to quarentine the bloodhound exploit and manually delete it. That is the only way to get rid of it. But it sucks cause you get it again so quickly. :x
