Well I was diagnosed with chronic ulcerative colitis when I was 17, i'm 21 now and was symptom free at 19 and a half. This condition really took a hold of my life and it was extremely tough for me to continue in sports and just to live life in general. I took azacol (sp?) for a while...Until I had an allergic reaction to it which put me in the hospital. After this, my doctor suggested I try using a more herbal approach towards it. I went on a regimen of two acidophilous (sp?) pills, one fish body oils pill, two multi-vitamins of my choice (flinstones mmmm) and one pill for folic acid. After about two months I started noticing improvements and it had completely cleared up within half a year. I guess what i'm trying to say is fight through the pain, stick with your doctors plan, and trust that there is light at the end of the tunnel, hell I beat it, so can others!
