I just want to know if you watched the henry morgentaler movie last night on .C.T.V and what you thought about it. If they potrayed it well???

For those that don't get it.... There was a movie on last night (on a cdn channel-that's why i'm asking ms.Rosie since I doubt the states got it unless you have satelite) anyhoo te movie was about Dr. Henry morgentaler, the doctor who finally got abortion "legalized" in canada. I was flipping back and forth (since law & order was on...) but I wanted to see if my opinion changed on anything, and it didn't. I guess I would have to be old enough to remember the women's rights movement to maybe see things differently and as I am only 25 I don't remember any of it..

If by chance any americans caught it on sattelite, your opinions are welcome.

Yes, I saw the movie and found it interesting. I read an article yesterday interviewing morgentaler and he was quite pleased with it, said it was accurate, but he wished it had shown more of his "softer" side.

It was pretty interesting. I liked the fact that they put real footage in with the movie.

I did not see the movie but I was here w/e.R.A. Was going on and you people that are starting out should be thankful of that, as women now are not looked down upon like they were, heck ya, I burnt my bra then, I did not need one anyway at the time(lol), I had to lift 100# sacks of nuts to get equal pay as the men but I did it just to prove a point, this is why I got into nursing and social services worker. Because of e.R.A. Their is now a law that no one shall lift over 50#. Then their was the hippies(peace love & flowers) I was that too, even though I was a virgin until my sr. Year in high school, so tell me about morals, you mislead pro-lifer's, you did not have to worry abou drive by kid shootings. They used to have abortion butcher clinics, true and we as women should be thankful that we do have the right of abortion, to keep the child or to adopt it out, keeping in mind that only about 50% of adoptions do go thru and that abortions can be done in clean hospitals(sort of), if you want to take away these rights then we will lose, right to equal pay, right to vote, etc.

Sincerely
sandy
