Ok so far I have been in the hospital 3 times with preterm labor - first time I was having contractions 3-5min apart when I was 25w I went over to the hospital and terbutaline shots stopped the contractions - then 2 days later I was having contractions again and the terb didn't stop them so they admitted me and put me on magnesium sulfate and I was there for 6days which included thanksgiving...Then I got to go home and stayed there for 2 weeks then when I was 28 w I was having contractions again 3min apart and getting stronger well I live where they don't have a nicu so they had to transport me 70miles away I was dilated to 3cm and 95% effaced and I was on the max of mag that they'll give you and taking indisin by mouth and they weren't stopping I thought I was gonna have her at 28w but I fell asleep and they stopped but I was admitted to this hospital til I was 31w now I am at home on strict bedrest. Has anyone had this happen and then carried full term? I want to atleast atleast make it to 34w but with the way I am feeling I don't think ill make it that far but if I do then I want to go to 36w fullterm would be great but I just don't think ill make it cuz it just seems like I have an incompetent cervix cuz they haven't been able to say well we think it is this or that which I know that preterm labor is unpredictable and sometimes has no reason...I just don't think I can handle my little girl in the nicu especially cuz it is 70mi away!! Sorry just had to vent! The doctors wanted me to make it to atleast 32w and I turn 32weeks on fri...

The best thing you can do for yourself is to eat well, drink lots of water (dehydration can cause labor), and don't stress out about it!
