Help..im In the Throes of Anxiety And Have a 2 Yr Old Posted: 01-05-05 09:22am
I feel so trapped..I think it may be
adding to my anxiety.
I started 12.5 paxil 8 days ago, wasnt
woriking, so my doc suggested doubling it.
Which I just did lsat night...I havent
had a day of relief since this started 9
days ago. I feel like this is the
darkest period of my life.
Im severely anxious, whole nine yards,
diareahh, nausea, (ive lost 7 lbs, that I
havent been able to lose on any diet).
The worse symptom is the distance I feel
betwn myself and my family. Even my
precious 2yr old.
I dont know if I can get thru the days.
11hrs w/my 2yr old in the house, cause I
cant get myself to leave yet...Still too
weak.
i have no help..No family..So I can only
rely ohn my husband, but he cant keep
taking off work.
When oh when if ever will the horrible
affliction subside?

Thanks vanessa! I appreciate your kind
words.
Im still feeling very very bad...Im not
yet to the point where I can really
relax...Believe me I try. I get anxious
watching tv, and forget about trying to
read...I havent read since this
started...I pace alot.
And crawl under my covers until the
anxiety creeps up more then I get up.
(and of course take care of my son in
between).
He's learning alot about independence this
week, thats for sure.
I go to my primary doc today to discuss
the meds and see if im doing everythign I
can.
At least its the weekend and my dh will be
home to help w/the child.
Well, I smell poops...Anxiety or not, a
mommys work never stops.
Say a prayer for me..I really need it.!

I will try to find time to read the
ebook...For now things are looking up a
bit.
I still have alot of anxiety in the
morning...And im determined the only way I
can sleep is on the futon in the spare
room (away from my dh  )...But one
thing at a time.
I felt much closer to my son today...We
had a good day.
And im broiling steaks for me and dh for
dinner...
So im back a bit.
Thx for the kind words...

Hi
i feel your pain , and just know that you
are not alone. I do not have it to such a
degree but non the less its feels the same
while its happening, and I remember back
in the day laying in bed staring at the
ceiling while laying in bed . You need
to do two things , one is focus on you and
do something for yourself like join a gym
where they have baby sitting , or take
nice walks with the stroller and enjoy
nature. Look around , take deep breaths
, if you stop and look around you realize
all the beauty you have been missing
because we are so wrapped up in our own
emotions. When you feel anxiety get into
the light , sit outside and get some fresh
air . The other thing is you give up
thinking about being anxious and know
that you have to get out of bed to take
care of your beautiful little baby . I
know its hard work but have fun too !! To
hell with house work and get down on your
hands and knees and play mindless child
games.. Color , build , all that .. You
baby needs you now more then ever , do not
let this anxiety run your life , before
you know it you have a teenager and you
will wonder where all the good years went
. Kick back and make this about you and
what you want .. Do not let the outside
world dictate who you should be and what
you should say , own , or do .. No one
is perfect , and most that say they are
have other issues .. Hang in there with
your meds , if they do not work then try
something else .. Anyone can try yoga ..
Give it a try , something your doing isnt
working , so do something new ! Good luck

Thx zeta..Youre so right on about
everything.
I have been trying to get out...However,
no kidding, for a whole week its been
rainy/icy and gray. That sure doesnt
help much.
But I think its going to get nice at the
end of the week..And we do get out to go
to the store and drive a bit.
I think im on the right path...Its just
taking longer than I imagined.
And im oh so tired in the mornings.
Thanks again.
