Hi everybody!

I have been using nuvaring for 3 months now, and so far it's working fine.
I always take it out on saturdays at about 7 pm,and I have to insert the new one exactly one week later. Last week I forgot and only took it out on sunday, at about 11am.. My period always appears on tuesday, and today is tuesday and it didn't.. I guess it's normal, but still i'm not sure..
Also i'm not sure if I should insert the new one on saturday or on sunday... Can anyone help??

Thank u!!!

I really don't know anything much about the nuvaring. But if you are not sure if you should insert the new one on saturday or sunday. You might want to call your doctor and ask him or her about it. That is just my opinion. I hope this helps you.

Nuva Ring Near Loss of Periods
I have been using the nuva ring for almost 6 months now. What would happen to me is my period would usualy start about the day before or the day that I was supposed to put a new one in.

My Dr. Told me that as long as I started that week it was ok.

Hope it helps

Nuvaring
I started the nuvaring in 4/05; it's going on 3 months. The first month was kinda funny. I felt "off". I felt sluggish, and I had hot flashes! Second month, I started to develop big, random cystic acne. From my cheeks to my ass! It's not the kind that even turns to a white head, just a big red and painful bump. All my life i've never had a problem with acne. I've come to the conclusing that it was the nuvaring. A friend of mine told me to at least keep with it for 3 months and then evaluate. Any similar activities with you?

Nuva Ring And Acne
I am off of the ring and all b/c now (husband and I are going to try to get pregnant)... I will say that the nuva ring helped my acne.
Now that I am off the hormones my acne is much worse, but I dont get the syctic like I did before... You may want to wait a few more months and if it gets worse talk to your gyn.

I have always had acne so I may not be the best case scenario...

Nuvaring Cons
Im on my third month of the nuvaring. First month I had very tender breasts and sever headache soon after it was inserted. The breast tenderness has subsided however, I do get a headache the first day after it's inserted each month. In general this is a no brainer for birth control. I like not having to remember a pill. My mood swings and cramps have mellowed out. I always had a light period so that hasn't changed much. My biggest complaint with this ring is that it can and will slide out. This happened to me after my boyfriend and I had sex. I had no idea. Luckily he saw it, but 4 hours later! I understand the nuvaring can be removed for 3 hours but longer than that is risky. I have two friends who are also using the ring and they've experienced similar situations. My second complaint is the discharge. I never had a discharge before the nuvaring. I suppose my body is telling me to get this foreign object out of me. Whatever the reason I find the discharge to be quite excessive. I'm now considering the patch (after I speak to my doctor). Because the nuvaring is new there are no long-term tests to review. I think the potential for the ring to slide out is going to be a huge problem for women and the company in the long run. Just be careful ladies and check after intercourse that it's still there.

Extremely eHealthy
If you took it out sunday, you can still but another back in on saturday.. As long as you do not go more than 7 days without a "ring" you will be fine.
