Arthritis - Knee
Posted: 01-03-05 03:03am

Hi,
i am a female of 47 years, and have just been diagnosed with arthritis of the left knee. I have been given to understand that arthro-7 is a very effective medicine against arthritis. Does anybody have experience with this medicine? I have to lose abt 10 kilos, but am advised jogging is not good for the knee. Is cycling good or may be a skiing equipment, or what else could I do to lose weight? Thank you, chandra.

Cycling is okay. Skiing can be really bad for knees due to the twisting of skis in diffrent directions.

Cycling is good for your knees. Any excercise for the knee is perfect. I have the same problem. I can not take stairs and a lot of pain when walking on high ground. My doctor advised me to practice even when sitting and watching t.V move your legs as if you are cycling. Lie on bed do the same cycle on the air. This will strenghten the knees. Less practice more pain.

I feel sorry for you I can feel what you are going through.

To lose weight which is good solution to reduce knee pain :
- start your morning by drinking 4 cups of warm water, wait 45 minutes then take your breakfast.

- take 3 to 6 tablespoon of flax seeds this you can buy it from natural food store, spread it on bread, yogourt, soup, juice whatever you like.

3 to 6 in your whole day.

Do excercising, like walking, swimming or any kind of sport this will help you in reducing weight.

Good luck

Swimming can be very good and you will not put any pressure on the knee while you swim.

hi, I would try to avoid running or jogging if you are trying to lose weight as this causes trauma to your knees and if you already have a sore knee this may make it worse.

I also have arthritis in my knees and exercises that I would recommend would be cycling definately, espescially if your knee is inflammed as this produces heat and softens up any fluid which helps to push out the toxins from the joints and after a while can reduce the swelling.

However, I would urge you to start slowly as cycling doesnt need to be a fast pace to help you.
My doctor also advised me that if my knee was really swollen or the cycling hurts then you should stop as this may cause further trauma.
Swimming is also highly recommended to those with joint problems as no added pressure is put on the joint.

Hope my comments help,
boudica

I have arthritis in both knees, it hurt so much sometimes I would cry myself to sleep especially when it was damp and humid outside unitl I startedtaking two natural products.. Marine omega and cartilage formula. Now I can run instead of "walking like a old man". Right it's raining here and I don't feel the achning throbbing pain in my knees. I feel great !!!! If you want more information please don't hesitate to contact me.

Knee Pain
Posted: 10-25-05 20:46pm

Well here is an unusual thought for you. This past weekend I attended a holistic convention. One of the speakers there said something that really hit me, because I was a chronic knee pain person too.

She said that knee pain can be the minds way of dealing with the fear of stepping forward with your life. I have seen some amazing things done with emotional freedom techniques. Even chronic pain disappear for good.

To me it came down to dietary changes (i can send you a planner sheet if you wish) and a combination of the eft's.

Treat the cause, dietary. And treat the pain symptom, eft's. It works very elegantly and doesn't cost a penny.
