Was it a large hole? or a very small hole maybe the size of if you got poked with a slightly thick needle?

Cause i cant tell if i just have irritation, or if i may have A fistula. It started hurting just 2 days ago, but i slipped on the ice and landed on my butt just a few days before, so i assumed it was just my tailbone, but after the pein being persistant, i ended up looking in the mirror.. and i think i may have found a tiny hole, but im not sure.

It hurts mainly when i sit, and EXPECCIALLY when i sit up. It doesnt bother me whatsoever while walking/standing though. I'm deathly afraid though, because i'm not very old, and i don't know what this could be, i looked it up on the internet basically all day, and this sounds most like what im experiencing.

There isn't any discharge, or blood, as far as i can tell, although, i havnt been paying too close of attention. NO BLOOD though, that's for sure.

I'm super worried. any advice?

Hey, I'm a 16 year old male and I have the same thing. Mine itches quite often and bleeds if irritated. It must have an infection, because there's usually discharge coming from it. I don't really have much hair there. I don't want to go to the doctor's because I think it's kind of embarrassing.

It is most likely a pilonidal cyst. I have had one and if it gets very bad you will have to have surgery so go now before it gets to bad and they can do a drain and medicine for it. I let mine go to long and it had started to wrap around my spinal cord and during surgery it could have gone bad if they would have nicked the cord so get it checked out and dont think anything of it as doctors are used to everything. i also have this problem. It is a very small hole and maybe twice a day a clear/white discharge comes out of it.I think it might be infected , so im planning on seeing a doctor , i live in Canada so insirance is not and issue for me. It appeared right after a hemroid i had for a week prior. Any help would be appreciated

I'm a 16 year old male and I have this same problem. I have a hole between my anus and my tail bone. I've had it for a couple months, but I finally got the nerve to tell my parents about it, so they can take me to the doctors. I went to the doctor's office today and he took a look at it. I'll admit was kind of embarrassing because he had to poke around in there and stuff. He said it was a Pilonidal Cyst. He told me that it ruptured already and was beginning to drain. Apparently all that's left for it to do is heal and close up. It's been bleeding and oozing out discharge pretty bad lately. It could of turned into a fistula, where it bores down to the rectum or something. He packed the hole with gauze and covered it with a maxi-pad (embarrassing like I said). He also gave me antibiotics. If the antibiotics and packing doesn't work, I'll have to have surgery. But if they do work, the hole will close up and be done with.

nice man way to man up. I have ben cleaning mine out and keeping it as sanitary as possible. IT has ben discharging much less and the hole is closing up. Im really glad this is healing by itself

i have the same problem. not to sound gross, but it ruins my underwear everyday, theres a milky substance that oozes out that i frequently whipe away. to be honest its really scary not knowing whats going on. im embaressed alot and finally told my parents and im schedualing an appointment tommorow. btw, i am an 18 year old male

I am a 22 year old male and Iv'e had the same thing for about 4 years, a hole below the tailbone in the but crack. It never really bothered me until it got infected like 5 months ago , it would bleed a few drops everyday and would discharge genital would just clean it with soap and disinfectant and it got better after a week.
I was gonna go and get it checked out but then found out my buddy had the same thing and he eventually got surgery and i'm sorry to say that the aftermath was the most horrific thing iv'e ever seeen!!! the doc said it was an ingrown hair so he cut the small hole open about litteraly this wide: -----------------------------
and then he dugg into it and made it about 3-4 inches deep. he had to stay in bed for about 6 weeks and now months later he has not fully healed yet , and now its even more prone too getting infected. The doc said that if u wait too long to get it fixed it can eventually hit the spinal cord and get u paralized. the thaught of that makes me very nervous. but it makes it really hard to do the same thing after seeing what my buuddy had to go through.
QUESTION: do any of u that have the same problem have alot of hair in the but crack? cuz i kind of do.

The "hole" you most likely have (and your daughter too)is not really a hole. It is a very, very mild form of spina bifida. I do believe it is called spina bifida occulta. Or even a closed nerual tube defect.

I am male-age 17. I have what was described in Kkling's last post in this thread. I just really found out I had it tonight and was freaking out a bit. As stated in Kkling's post-it occurs is hairy males. I am quite hairy for my age-so I assume I fit the profile. It always bleeds, not a lot just if i touch it with a paper towel or something. The only set back is that it itches sometimes-hence how I found out I had it. So if you have this described hole-I'd advise not to worry about it since it has been described as harmless. Thanks so much Kkling for putting my mind at rest. I just wasn't sure what in the world it was and it didn't seem natural, but I guess it is natural.

Tho I know I had this, whatever it is, for more than a year i believe, but I never actually payed too much attention to it, 'cose I thought it's like a pimple or smthn. So, I went to the toilet 20mins ago, and I've noticed there's something red-like fluid on my underwear, but too up to be coming from my, excuse me, anus.
So, for a sec i thought it's that pimple again, so i tried to take it off with, sorry if i'm gross, my finger. That's when I felt a freaking hole, something like pen-sized hole, right on my ass! I mean c'mon! What the hell! And ofc, i started freaking out, i tried to see if it's still there(DUH), but when i touched the area slightly above it, it started making(>_<) "slurping" sounds, and there was that white thing again >_>. I guess it stopped when i cleaned it up a bit. Anw, as you can see a bit by my "grammar" and such, I'm a gamer, so i usually sit a LOT, also add school to that, and you get that freaking thing up my ass. Since it's 4am, and waking mom up right now WON'T BE SUCH A GOOD THING TO DO(!), i'll try telling her tomorrow(or when I wake up xd), tho i would rather wait 'till my bday, but i guess it's better to do it while it's still "in early stages(= of finding out ;.".
