About 3 days ago when I just woken up I
noticed that I had these pains in my
muscles.
I always lay weird so I assumed thats what
it was because a few nights before that, I
had real bad back pain but after I got out
of bed it had gone.
I had pain under my arm and in my muscles
on my legs amd as paranoid as I am I
decided to start poking where the pain was
coming from.
I found what I thought was a lump under my
arm.
I am only 19 and I weigh under 90lbs and
terrified I have cancer. The reason I
mentioned my weight was because 3 years
ago I went to the doctor with a lump in my
stomache, she told me that due to the
weight I am and my body frame being so
small it is perfectly normal to find
"fleshy" lumps in my belly.
Im terrified I have cancer. The lump is
just next to my armpit and is under the
skin, it feels like a gland or some sort
of muslce and from what I can tell, I have
something simular on the other arm. Due
to "playing" around with this lump I have
made it appear to look worse.
Im too scared to go to a doctor and being
as paranoid as I am and readin all of
these medical web pages, I have convinced
myself that I have other brest cancer
symptoms too..
For instace it tells you that your bones
will ache, well about 5 months ago when I
came back from the us my ribs started
aching and havent really been right since,
I had 50 hours of travelling and my father
said thats clearly the cause of the
discomfort.
Everytime my breast itches or I got a red
spot near to the lump or breast I get
frightend.
Whats going on?
Please help me :(
i hope this message wasnt too hard to
understand, im in a hurry to type it and
hopefully get some answers.

Qwerty.. I would not panic about cancer.
They say most cancerous lumps don't even
hurt. It sounds like one of your glands
that sits under your arm is inflammed..
This could be for multiple reasons. I
would ice it and take some ibuprofen over
the next day or two. If this does not
help, then you may want to go to the
doctor and make sure you don't have an
infection or anything. Cancerous lumps
wouldn't just form overnight.. And if the
lump is not a gland you may have a cyst
(which are harmless). I am like you.. I
am thin and you can feel all the small
lumps we have.. But I wouldn't panic at
this point...

hi dear,
don't worry, you are too young for having
cancer specially breast cancer. The best
thing to ease your mind, would be checking
by a nurse or your family doctor.
Sometimes, the immune system in our body
reflexes differenhtly toward any kind of
signs of difficulty in life or health.
Don't worry and go and check with your
doctor.

thankyou so much for the
response. I have been worrying my self
silly, so much so that I have not eaten.
I am glad that theres someone else out
there like me, I am so thin and can feel
just about every muscle I have in my body,
it's pretty scary at times because you
dont know whats muscle or whats a "lump"
i called a nurse earlier and she said that
I have some psychological problem
regarding cancer and that I need it
sorting out before I drive myself crazy!!
She said im too young to have breast
cancer but would go to the doctors
anyway.
Its scary being so thin- ive tried so hard
to gain weight but I just cant.

Yes, I too agree with those who replied to
you.
Is there a number you can call at your
local hospital for nurses to answer any of
your questions? We have what is called
nurse direct. The more you ask the more
you'll learn and i'm sure you'll feel a
lot better.
Please don't worry about your weight.
Being too thin is only going to get you
into some sort of trouble. Enjoy your
youth and just take care of yourself
sensibly.
