 hi. I'm new here and i'm trying to find info to find out what could possibly be wrong with my back. My lower back has been hurting for months now and I get nausea alot, lately it's been terrible. My back wakes me up in the middle of the night just about every night! I feel sick to my stomach now, alot!!!! I haven't gone to the doc, not yet cause of money, you know, all them darn co-pays!!! Anyways, it's really hard to do every day activities, sometimes I can't even get out of bed! When I cough my lower back kills me worse. For the last 3 years my stomach has been jumpin all over the place, like i'm pregnant or something. Well, that isn't it cause I can't get pregnant anymore. I'm 40 yrs. Old and had my tubes burned about 18 yrs. Ago........So..........? I just can't stand it anymore.....I can't do much of anything anymore.

For myself, when something is affecting my ordiary day to day functioning, like sleep, its time to find some $$ for the co-pay. Also be grateful you have medical insurance at all, since the trend in the u.S is less and less people recieved any real medical insurance at all.

That is unless your:

1. Got lucky with a decent employer.

2. Got enough money it isn't a big issue for you anyway.

3. Are poor enough, for a long enough period to qualify for government asst. (this is still better than the very large category of what is called "the working poor"-meaning no benifits but still working).

:?: do you think that I really should see a doctor? I mean, I know I probably should and I would really like to. What do you think could be wrong with me? Can stress cause lower back pain? I don't know when I will be able to see one. These holidays have really broken us as far as money wise. And it is great to even have any insurance at all, that's for sure..........You said severe? Why do you say that? Maybe i'm just not taking as serious as I should? Like this morning, again I could barely get up and move around. And last night we had our neice for the night and I had to carry up the steps cause she fell asleep and it nearly killed me, I almost fell down the stairs so I woke her up and had her walk the rest of the way...........It's very painful.......I can't even work out like I used to! Ugh!!!! Thanks for your replies...................

Sorry ,i Am Late to Reply, Bad Internet Connection.
I should have replied you a couple of days ago ,but cuz of the bad internet connection, I am late. You see ,i am a graduate majoring orthopedic .Your problem is certainly orthopedical, but cuz of deficiency in clinical experiences and limited knowledge, I cant figure out your problem . Though I kind of sure that if the problem bother you all the time, it is severe.
Your symptoms characterized as night pain,or rest pain, colicky pain, moring stiffness, I think there may be possibilities of infection, tumor, spondyloarthropathy, or viscerogenic back pain. Cuz you mentioned you cough ,i am wondering if you are going through fever, weight loss, malaise, if it is true , I think the possibilities is higher.
