hi, I was just wondering if you found out what the pain in your side was because im 19 and have been getting the exact same in my right side and low in my stomache and back. I also feel realy tired and keep feeling as though im goin to be sick but never actually are. I no this may sound a little daft but I have a phobia of doctors and are too scared to go but the pain is almost unbearable when I get it and it seems worse first thing on a morning. So if you found out what it was can you please let me no as I am really scared. Thanks stacie. :?

i am also 20 and feel fatiged, dont eat, right pain (more of a discomfort). I do feel sick but never throwup. Like others say, it gets worst in the evening. As you can see this is a problem for alot, please post.

I would get a ct but I am currently uninsured so you can imagine I dont want to go to the doctor unless I have to.

I Feel Like I'm Going to Blow Up.
I have been complaning to doctors for years. For some reason I have severe itiching seems like i'm allergic to a lot of foods. Bloating like i"m almost going to blow. Pain on the right side, it's bad enough to tense my right shoulder and neck. I have headaches all the time. Ear infections I think my asthma is worse.
Eating fatty foods makes things worse especially beef, pork and milk products. Tap water makes it a little worse, I find drinking evian water usually makes it feel better. I eat chicken without the skin boiled without any seasons just plain. I also eat some cabbage and quite a bit of broccoli and a bit of broccoli sprouts. It's funny that when I eat plenty of broccoli sprouts the pain is more bearable. If you decide to eat broccoli sprouts part of you diet I suggest you grow your own it's easy, for more info just google broccoli sprouts.

For years I have complained with the doctors said it was just acid reflux or it's nothing. Took me 3 years til I moved to the big city where I got an ultrasound, they found a sore on my gall bladder, could be cancer so i'm sticking with my broccoli sprouts.

More info i'm getting my ct scan soon.

well hello there ms/mr guest. Hope you are still about. My daughter recenty passed away after experiencing such little 'cry cry' symptoms. Very young to die, so little time to live.

But, guess what? Your time is coming. Be it soon or late, remember-death rides a swift horse.

Hi,

just wanted to throw this out there. Recently had lab work done, and my Dr. Said it shows I probably have hypothyroid. I have all of the symptoms you discribed. Although the side pain was not listed specifically, I also have that symptom.

Maybe you should check that out. By the way, hyperthyroid also has much of those symtoms.

Pain Under Right Ribcage And Back
I am been experiencing horrible pain under my upper right ribcage and directly behind in my back. The doctors have done a hidascan which showed my gallbladder to be normal, but showed spots on my liver. They then did a ct scan with and without contrast. The spots on my liver are cysts and I have kidney stones in my kidney.
When I eat the pain is worse. It wakes me up at night. I can't sleep on my right side or on my back,it seems to make the pain worse.
I have taken protonix & nexium. They have not helped.
The doctor gave me pain pills and now wants to do an upper and lower gi series. My ribcage feels bruised.
I am frustrated and tiredof being poked on.
If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

Stomach Pain
I had a pain that felt like a bubble was trying to bust through my ribs on the right side. The doctor told me I have gullstones and need my gullbladder out. I hope this helps they found them by doing an ultrasound.

hi all, this is my first post. I am a 27 year old female. I have had a pain in my lower right side for almost 4 weeks now. It is to the lower right of my belly button and also in my side and sometimes even in my right upper leg. I have been to a doctor about 6 days ago with this issue (and some other issues). He has prescribed some antibiotics for a bladder infection. It was finished in about 3 days and the pain is still the same. He also did some blood tests (for my constant fatigue) and a urine sample. I have other symptoms like nausea, loss of appetite, head aches, sore and dry eyes, weight gain, dry mouth, thirst, constipation, etc. At first I suspected appendicitis, but am not sure anymore as the pain comes and goes. It is definitely worse at night. It is not sore when I touch there, but hurts when I cough or sneeze. In the last couple of days the pain is not only in the front but also at the back, probably the kidney area. The doctor also suspected an ectopic or tubal pregnancy, but did not test for such. The pain is not unbearable, but rather uncomfortable and rather worrying. I'd say I get a stabbing pain every 10 to 15 minutes, but no constant pain.

Any suggestions, do you think I should go back to the same doctor or get a second opinion?

Thanks

hi I am new to this site glad although not if you know what I mean :? But I too have been suffering from right side stomache pains which goes down to the right thigh. I have just visited the dr"s this week and he recons I am having "stomach spasums" and has prescribed me with tablets he then told me to return in 2 weeks time if the pain continues so that I can then be sent for a scan.Doc did a kidney, liver urine test and everything was fine according to him.
My pains does interfire with my walking and standing. The pain comes and goes the doctor told me to drink more ( do drink 1.5litres of water aday) and I was told to eat lots of fibre (which I do anyway) I must admit the pain has calmed down since taking the tablets.
If you still feel worried do go back to your gp and do push for a referal for a scan! I certainly will if my pain returns.

I Have Gull Stones
My pains started as servere heartburn. I would wake up and have heartburn and only felt better after I threw up (sorry I know its gross). I went to the docs and they gave me some heartburn meds, but to no avail. I was in major pain, doubled over and crying when it would happen. I had a pepida scan and it showed that my gull bladder is functioning at 11%. The pain is getting worse everyday. I have to eat only 2 cups of food at one time and stop eating at 7 o'clock or I will have major pains!! I tell my friends it is like cramps times 100!!! The pains are on my right side and through my stomach starting at my belly button to my throat when it is the worse. I meet with the surgeon tomorrow and am scared, but totally relieved that this is what it is and it can be removed and I will feel better. Anyone out there have thier gull bladder removed? How did it go? How was eating and stuff after? Be truthfull but realize that I am very scared already.

Thanks!

constipation is a term used to describe infrequent bowel movements and affects many people every year. While the most obvious symptom of constipation pain is difficulty in passing bowels, another very common symptom of constipation is back pain. Over time, as fecal matter builds up in the digestive tract and is not released, back pain or abdominal pain may result. This constipation pain results because of the back-up of matter in the digestive tract and because of the strain put on the muscles that are used for bowel movement when passing a bowel is more difficult.

Right Side Pains
I am 29 I have always had pains in my lower right side... I would ask my gyn and she said I was fine, I had a ultrasound and true everything was fine... When I get stressed I go to the bathroom a lot and I bleed... I went to a GI doctor, they diagnosed me with IBS... Read up on the subject, it is probably what is going on with all of you... I go to the bathroom a lot and then I will clog for weeks... I have gained weight and cannot seem to loose it... I suggest keeping a food diary to keep track of when you feel worse, then avoid that food....

I also havea pain. It's a pain that comes and goes. Takes days for it to hurt. I went to the doctors and he told me that if the pain goes away, that it doesn't stay and get worse, not to worry about it, because it can be gas. I'm a gasey person, but it bothers me becsue it's a uncomfortable feeling.. I got blood test, they can out all good. what should I do? I have also had kidney stones, and I was thinking it can be that instead.

Ileocecal Valve
I have also had this sharp stabbing pain every day for the past 4 weeks every time I cough. I had my ileocecal valve removed 18 months ago due to a forklift accident. i'm wondering if this could be another hernia. I got my first hernia 1 year ago after massive surgery where they removed part of my mesenteric artery, appendix and my ileocecal valve as well as a few inches of intestine. It was a one foot long incision, so it was an incisional hernia. But that is not where the pain is now. It can't be the valve that hurts, cause it's gone. I also developed an infection after the surgery which lasted a year right around the site of the pain i have now. But it did not hurt for 6 months after they operated on the infection. I am at a loss.

Belly Pain
My name is Kristin. I am 25 years old. Ever since i was about 12 years old i have had a sharp pain that comes and goes jus to the right of my belly button. In the past year the pain is constant and is very painful. If i get bumped in the stomach or if i push on the spot that hurts i double over in pain and drop to the floor. Also since i have had this pain i have suffered from constipation, bloating that never goes away, abdominal cramping, constant headaches, nausea and the sweats. I have been to the doctor several times. Every test ever done came back normal. been checked for appendicitis and gall bladder inflammation. also had x-rays and several mri's. . .everything looks okay. every doctor i have been to puts me on pain killers without even taking the time to look into it. 6 of the 8 doctors i have seen told me jus to accept it and the other two told me it was all in my head. My mother is a nurse and she is completely baffled as to what is causing this. some many different issues have come up i jus want to cry. i dont know if its something to do with my stomach or digestive tract or is this something to do with my reproductive system. I am very concerned about this. Please Please Please help me. Thank You!!!!
