Q: Late Birth Control Pill Panic

I'm in a bit of a panic. I took the third last of my active pills about 9 hours late. I followed the instructions and took it as soon as I remembered and then continued on with the rest of my pills. I finished the pills 3 days later and had my period as normal the following week. The day after I finished my period I had unprotected contact with my boyfriend (we used a condom, but did have some contact before the condom). I am worried that the missed pill would have altered my ovulation cycle for my next preiod, and that having sex a week after missing my pill may have been a mistake. Could someone please give me some advice, or try to calm me down, bacuse as the days go by i'm starting to freak out even more. Thank you

Re: Late Birth Control Pill Panic
Hi! Umm I would think that you would be ok.. As they warn you to use protection the day that you forget your pill right? And assuming you continued your next pack of pills, then you'd be fine. But perhaps u should consult your doctor just to make sure!

Thanks for your response...Just to clear things up, I took the late pill as soon as I remembered and then took the last 2 pills in the pack as scheduled. Then I did the week of sugar pills (which happened to be the time of the unprotected contact), and then I started the new pack as scheduled. I followed the instructions that came with the pill and of the pharmasist, but i'm still in a panic. Anyone else have advice or experience? Thanks in advance
