Im going to tell my story: let me know if these symptoms in sequence seem illogical or not like hiv.
Ok, so went to doctor checking for another std. Girl I had sex with claimed to be "spitting blood", he said this was a sign of aids or tb. Freaked out, got her a rapid test. Negative. The next day I started noticing symptoms. Tightening in my throat. 2 days later: receeding gumline and nightsweats. 5th day or so I noticined hard lymphnodes in neck and groin. All this time I had loose stools. Ok, so I started to realize that this was most likely due to anxiety. One month after possible exposure, I talk to her, find out she's had a sore throat for almost a month, just got over "the flue" has sever headaches, and is fatiuged all the time. I never get headaches. Last one I had was when I was 12. Today I had a headache from the moment I woke up until now... 1am. Also, I feel sort of out of it... Hard to focus wierd blurred vision at times. I know I may be experiencing these symptoms because of guilt/anxiety but... Jesus they are all too real. Talking to her and finding out that she's experiencing these symptoms freaks me out even more because she non-chalant about it. Oh just to note: this girl is permiscous ! 12 guys in the last 3 months, 2 she met over the net and got paid $$ for sex. Yeah. Im scared shitless. The reality of this hits me sometimes where I think I must be hiv positive, and then this feeling subsides. But in general I am really stressed out about it all; these symptoms are all too real, and ive experienced a lot of them. Its hard to know which are due to anxiety and which could be possiblle symptoms of ars. Anyone - would like to comment on the situation, feel free.

Well I know u probably came here for support, ive never been in your situation..........But u knowingly had sex with some one who had sex with guys through the net for money? I think firstly you need to be more careful with who you sleep with and secondly go see your Dr......She might have a different std and even if it isnt hiv you should still be treated

After the Fact
She told me that she had sex with 2 guys for money after I freaked out about what the doc said, her possibly having hiv. (didnt make me feel any better either!) ive seen multiple doctors. All tell me to wait until the 3 month mark for a definitive test and then again at the 6 month mark for absolute certainty. No headaches today. I think I was drinking too much diet soda and not enough water. Eh, paranoia! (i try to just think im crazy rather than hiv poz...) anyone in a similiar situation and want to talk? U can hit me up on aol instant messanger sn name: asudjbliss

umm i have been hiv+ for 5yrs and my infectious disease doctors say that if you have hiv you will know within a few month of contraction because of how mutated the virus has become due to lack of safe sex and as for the spitting up blood i have never heard of any one being hiv+ and doing that unless there was a underlying issue going on like tb, tonculitist or biting the inside of the mouth by accident or coughing to hard and most of the hiv related problem are actually side effects from hiv regimens or a single med in the regiment and if you really think it might be hiv have you tried talking to a infectious disease doctor and not a pcp (primary care physician) or an internal medicine doctor cause i have noticed that pcp and doctors who are not schooled to deal with hiv or other infectious disease don't really know much about them other then what they have been told thru school and that is still out dated and a little old school too so i mean look at that route too cause when i was diagnosed with my hiv+ status i had to literally throw every thing i thought i knew away because it had change that much and hiv is not a death sentence any more you are the one who can make that choice not say it is ok to go out a screw any one but ya and most infectious disease doctor will deny pains being related to hiv and they will tell you it's some thing a pcp doctor needs too look at and treat and my yahoo im is amesboi28 i might be able to help find some resources for you to look into
