Arthritis???? Posted: 10-24-03 22:19pm
I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia,
but have just been informed by my doctor
my feet are not part of a list of problems
within the framework of "fibromyalgia.
Here are my symptoms:
stiff, painful feet when I wake up in the
morning, and if I sit for a period of 30
minutes or more.. However, I can "walk it
off", after I get going the pain does go
away unless I sit again, or lie down.
This is soooooooo painful, I have a real
problem literally getting from room to
room. What do you think this can
be????

I know so much on how that feels but they
tell me that is it the fibromyalgia its so
bad some times, but when i'm on my feet or
any long time I want to die from the pain.
I'm on the patch and norco for pain and
some times that don't help to. I have to
have shoes or some thing on my feet at all
times. Do you feet get so cold in the
winter that they feel as if they are going
to be frost bitten? I know I do and they
turn blue. But they tell me that the
blood flow is great, how that is I have no
idea. I see that you are on disabley.
I'm trying for the last 2 years what did
you have to do to get on it? I need all
the help I can get with that. Well if you
have found out any more please tell me I
would love to know what they told you.

Ramsassy!
I am a peer advocate for people with
disabilities in ny, but I think the social
security laws are the same everywhere.
First, they always turn everyone down at
least two times, so keep trying. Second,
what does your doctor say? You need a
really good doctor, also there is a fibro
group in arizona where you can get more
information. I am just baffled by this
thing with me feet, soooo painful!
Let me know if I can help.

pain on begining to move and feeling
better after walking a little is a symptom
of osteo-arthritis. The whole profile of
the patient needs to be done in any case
for proper diagnosis.

Hello all! I might have fibromyalgia ,
lupus, both or neither. I too experiance
the pain. But I do get the frost bite
feeling. I have the pain in my ankles,
knees, back, neck shoulders, elbows and
hands. Do you guys experience swelling
also? I too was denied the first 2 times
of disability and I will be going for a
third time as soon as I have more medical
documentation. Best of luck, kelly

Just Sick of the Non Stop Pain Posted: 01-24-04 14:22pm
i have had severe pain in the lower back
since septmber and i've since been seeing
a rheum. Specialist who has diagnosed me
with arthritis in my hip joints and si
joints. I have tried celebrex without
relief and then physical theropy with
nothing now. I have recently 2 weeks ago
got a cortisone shot in the left si joint
and the pain still persists!!! He gave me
bextra to try also and that is a fail too.
Now my specalist wants me to have a bone
scan done on the full body to diagnose
polyarthrits. What is polyarthritis and
why is not he able to alleviate the pain?
Please help i'm very frustrated!
