The youngest mother on record was a five-year-old peruvian girl.

A medical history revealed that she had been having regular periods since age 3, but that she had stopped menstruating for the past 7� months. Additionally, she had fully developed breasts. Further examination revealed a fetal heartbeat, and an x-ray confirmed the pregnancy.

Her name was lina medina, a peruvian girl from the andean village of ticrapo who made medical history when she gave birth to a boy by caesarean section in may 1939 at the age of five years, seven months and 21 days. Lina's father was temporarily jailed on suspicion of incest, but he was released for a lack of evidence and authorities were never able to determine who fathered lina's child.

I saw that too :cry: really sad, im assuming she was raped... But in 1939 a girl that young... That small.... The baby and her wouldve died im sure, but according to the story they didnt
maybe the girl had a tumor...

Hil, thats what I read her parents actually took her in for, they thought she had a tumor. But when they did the exam, they found the heartbeat. I have the picture of her, her dad, and the baby if you wanna see that.

That's been posted like 3 times already lol.. Not saying you should've known.. Just letting ya know :wink: . I think it was a fake or something.. I don't see how a 5 year old could bring a child into this world without dying giving birth.. I just don't see how it's physically possible.

Weird...Creepy...

You sure said it!! Also the doctor in the pic looks like some kind of mad scientist from a movie.

And I thought it was weird when a girl I knew in 7th grade got pregnant and didn't know it til she was like 7 months. No one else knew it cuz she was heavy to start with and always wore hoodies and heavy sweaters and all. Finally her mom took her to the doctor and thats when she found out. She thought she had a tumor and thats why she was scared to go to the doctor. So she finally goes to the doctor and - boom - about 2-1/2 months later she had a baby boy she gave up for adoption. Sitting here now I don't see how anyone can make it very far and not know they're pregnant. Except maybe a 5-year old

I do believe that is the most horrifying thing ever!! How sick and disgusting could sumone be to rape a 5 year old...Thats sooo disturbing
