Q: Cramps??

I am a first time mom and I am sorry if people are getting annoyed at my questions. I am 13 weeks pregnant and am getting like light cramps. They barely hurt but are really annoying. It hurts around my hips, sometimes in my back and also above my pubic bone. The pain lasts like 30 seconds to 1 minute. Does anyone have the same problem? They feel like the ones I had when I was about 6 weeks pregnant. Is it normal for them to come back? Thanks in advance to your replies.

It is normal to get cramps throughout your whole pregnancy. I had them too, and they still come back once in a while. If they get severe, call your doc asap, but if just light cramping, you should be ok. You are probably strechting to make room for the baby is all!

Cramps
I'm 18 weeks and i've had light cramps on and off too. I was worried about them at first too but I asked my doctor and she said its normal and not to worry as long as they don't get too bad. I guess that's one of the joys of being pregnant. Lol

no doubt. I always find myself thinking, what if...But im like I cant stop it, im gunna have to do it, I just think if a 13 yr old can do it, so can i. Not that a 13 yr old is weaker (no offense to the 13yr olds?) thats just my analogy.

Lol, same here. Some things you can prevent... But this...Well, its going to happen. We will be giving birth! They have to get out somehow!! That scares me. People have kids everyday, and get pregnant after that too, so it cant be the most awful thing in the whole wide world you know?

Ya, just think, theres always someone whos been through worse.

I read about this lady in mexico once, well she lived really far out, and didnt have a phone or car, well she went into labor and was alone, so she drank a cup of whiskey, and cut the baby out with a knife. I guess one of her kids came home from school, found help, and they took her to town, her and the baby lived.

Then I watched miracle births on dhlth, over in africa or something when it flooded really bad like 5 years ago, some people cmimbed a tree to keep from getting washed away. The helecopter came and they were pointing to the ladys stomach, but they didnt understand since they didnt speak english, so the copter took all the kids, and when they came back, she had her baby in the tree, and she took off her wet shirt and wrapped it in that.

Yeah, I saw the one about the lady who had her baby in a tree in a flood and all I could think was omg i'm glad we live on a hill. My mom and I were watching the show and she said when she was that far with me she could barely walk up stairs let alone climb a tree.

I'm not excited about pain either but I guess no matter how hard labor is at least I won't be having my baby in a tree.
