At my doc appt. On tues. My blood pressure was 181/91 so I had to go to the hospital and get a blood test thing done. I'm already anemic so if i'm preeclamptic that's just great. I find out by fri. If i'm ok. My doctor said i'm dialated 2 cm. Yay! It's better than nothing. Only 11 days until my due date. Did erin have her baby yet?

The hospital said my results would take anywhere from 1-3 days. I'll know by fri. If i'm preeclamptic. Even though i'm due in less than 2 weeks I think they would induce because i'm also anemic and I have gbs and live so far away from the hospital. I hope I go into labor soon. We're supposed to get really horrible weather, plus i'm so so so so so done being pregnant.

I'm surprised by how calm you are! I went to my doctors appointment yesterday and ended up being rushed to the hospital. We found out I have toxemia (preeclampsia) and if my blood pressure didn't go down they were going to induce me either last night or this morning. My blood pressure went down but now i'm one very strict bed rest. The same thing happened to my sister and when they ended up inducing her the baby went into fetal distress and she had to have an emergency c-section. The baby was born with fluid in her lungs and she almost had to be flown to the childrens hospital, but she aspirated so she turned out fine, but it was still very scary. The baby only weighed 4 lbs. 10 oz. I'm terrified now... I was seriously so close to being induced yesterday and now i'm not really allowed to do anything but take it easy.

Not only can toxemia be bad for the baby but it can be horrible for you as well. I have to pay close attention to everything now, my liver, my kidneys, they could all be damaged so I have to be majorly careful.

Good luck to you and take it easy.

Aren't you overdue? The due date countdown says that you were due 6 days ago...?

Also, if you are preeclamptic they will induce you...They induce the majority of preclamptic patients at 37 weeks. Seeing as you are already passed that then they will induce you. Good luck!

They changed my due date to the 9th. Apparently my results were fine but then at my appt. Today my blood pressure was up again. I'm 50% effaced and 3 cm. My doctor stripped my membranes (ouch!) and I had a few really bad contractions but they stopped. Arg!

Good luck!!

Stripped membranes? I'm not even sure what that is (but i'll probably find out in a few months  ) but it doesn't sound comfy or nice.

Anyway, I hope everything goes great for you and your baby.

I started having my bloody show when I woke up yesterday. It's very nasty... I had a blood clot last night and one this morning. It really freaked me out. I've still only had one or two contractions since yesterday. This baby is never coming out! Arg! I've tried everything.

I don't think it was the bloody show. It stopped after 2 days. I just had a lot of white mucous but that's pretty much stopped now too. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow. I'm going to ask her to strip my membranes again. I guess she'll tell me what's up at the appointment. He's about 9 lbs. From her predictions. Arg! I'm 4 freakin days overdue.

Very Scared And Confused Mother!
My daughter is 17 she is 32 and a quarter along in her pregnancy. She just got out of the hospital, her blood pressure was up, she is swollen in her hands and face some, she had low iron, low potassium, and severe pain. Dr, brought her blood pressure down with blood pressure medicaine and when she come home on the second day she had real bad headache and blurred vision but they gave her a shot of something and that went away. I get her home and she is sleeping. I know resting is very good for her but I am scared to death. She is fingertip soft and the baby is only 3lbs 12oz. I am also afraid that she will start to dilate soon.
I guess I just need advice and someone to talk to about this since this is the first time we have went through something like this and I guess we don't like the treatment of the dr, because we are unsure of what their job is to treat this.

I would so appreciate it if someone could possibly ease my mind or give me alittle advice on this. Thanks a million have a great year!
