So you want to hear about natural labor huh?My first 10 hours wasn’t too pain but more irritating! I went into the hospital dilated 4 cms 90% effaced and my water had not broken yet. I didn’t want them to break it because cheyenne and I both were healthy and I wanted to do everything naturally! So at around 6 am on october 1st my obgyn came in and said that I should really try and get some rest since I had a long way to go! I was rather upset with him and wanted to throw my ice cup!! Lol I wasn’t able to get a decent sleep but when I did fall asleep at around 1pm I awoke up at about 2:15 with a huge gush of water! That is when everything kicked up!! The nurses came in a did stats on the baby’s heart and pulse rates and said that everything looked great and that it should be no time at all! That wasn’t very true! I had finally reached 7 cms at 2:30am october 2nd. And in that last stretch omg! It was horrible! The contractions along with the pressure makes for a not so happy body!! I threw up about a million times! Sorry to sound gross but you have the runs like after eating a jar of jalepejos! Not to mention I had no pain meds what so ever so I felt everything! I reached 10 cms at roughly 6 am and the doctors and nurses did their last checks of the heartbeat, pulse rate, etc before I started to push. At the next contraction I was to “push cheyenne out”. They told me that every time! Lol it was really deceiving because I was in the pushing stages for just about 2 hours! Anyways when her head came out they let me touch it and it just gave me so much energy! If you get the opportunity to touch your child’s head before they are completely born do it!! About 30 seconds after I felt her head she was delivered at 8:37 am on october 2nd, 2003! So that is my labor story! No drugs, no nothing! I have to be honest though, when you hold your child for the first time trust me the pain is really worth it! Even 37 hours of it!

Much love
