Why do ppl stare at pregnant teens like they are some kind of freak show????!!!! :x they are still the same as anyone else, but they are bringing a beautiful baby into the world. Does anyone else agree that ppl need to make the pregnant mothers feel welcome and accepted? This just really bugs me!!!!1

I agree with you. I get looks all the time. I also took home a baby think about it for school. I needed to for a class. People just kept staring at my belly and then at the car seat. One lady was talking about me behind my back and telling someone that I was too young to be a mother and that I looked like I was twelve. I am 16 will be 17 on the 14th of januray but anyway. I just turned around and looked at her. I said yea and the father and I are expecting another. We are very happy about it. She just gave me a dirty look and walked away. I just hate it when people think we can't take care of our babies because we are young. I have met a few people that act like they are okay with teen pregnancy. I prefer to have my kids young anyway then I won't be to old later and I can be a young fun mom. I am 13 weeks pregnant.

It is so sad that ppl in this world cannot accept other ppl for their differences. It makes me sick to my stomach!!! I love babies, but definetly not ttc( I am only 14, soon to be 15 in feb.) I dont think being a teen mom is bad, because teens make great moms. I think that 15 and under is young to be conceiveing, but ppl need to accept ppl for who they are inside and appricate the fact that they are going to be bringing a baby into the world. I am sorry that ppl give you looks and call you names. Congradulations on being preggy!!!!

I know what you mean. I was nervous how the kids at school would act about me being pregnant but that's mostly no problem and they've been pretty good about it. The ones who give me dirty looks and say things are mostly older women. Today I was at the store and a woman in the line in front of me looked at me like I kicked her dog or something then said "don't you think you're awful young to be having babies?" I was just biting my lip and the woman in line behind me said "don't you think you awful old to be saying rude things like that?" so I guess sometimes there's people out there who'll stand up for you.

How old are you? I am glad that some ppl actually have a heart and are willing to stand up for all the pregnant women. When you are pregnant it is a beautiful thing and ppl so embrace it and not be haters! Do you agree?

I'm 17 but i'll be 18 a month from today. And i'm 18 weeks and definitely showing. It's like my tummy's exploding now and people say I look farther than that.

Planned or unplanned? Congrats to being preggy. Are you excited? Do you think that becoming pregnant @ 14 is wrong and selfish???

This was definitely not planned. 14 sounds to me really young to get pregnant but a lot of people think 17 also is. I guess it really depends on if you're mature enough to handle it. I don't know if I am now but I know I sure wasn't when I was 14. I think it's awful young to start trying to get pregnant. I keep thinking i'm going to be 18 when my baby comes and my due date's like 10 days before i'm supposed to graduate so there'll be a lot more jobs I can get than if I was younger. But that's just me.

I am 14 and not ttc! I want a baby, but I would have no idea how to support the baby and I am still in school and have 3 more years till I graduate. Are you still in school? Have you found out the sex of your lil angel yet? Have any names picked out? Just wondering!!

I really don't pay much attention to others. I am usually too stuck in my own little world to care or notice! Lol my little baby is our blessing and I don't care if other people are too shallow to see that!

Hey.. All I can say to people who have kids young is... "to each their own".. I wish they wouldn't.. But hey.. It's not my problem..If the person who is pregnant has no problem..Why should i?.(no offense)

What people worry about, of course, is that only 3% of pregnant teens end up graduationg, and most of them end up on welfare for extended periods of time.

Nothing particularly wrong with that in itself, but it gets damn hard to dig yourself out of that hole later.

To whoever asked if trying to concieve at the age of 14 is selfish, I think, yes, it is very selfish. But to accidently fall pregnant is a totally different situation and I really look up to those who make it through.

Yes and here is the reason why. I am not lying when I say I am 14 and I have had a misscarriage!!!! I would never lie about something like that. You guys need to know that I am telling the truth!! I gave my self a different name because I didnt think you would accept me for having a misscarriage a 14. This is the truth and you can believe it or not, but I am not lying!!!!!

I'll be 21 in less than 2 months and people give me dirty looks all the time. I think it's extremely rude that people can't keep their nasty opinions to themselves. I guess I would understand it more if I looked 12 but I look older than I am. I hate old people! Grr!

no one will judge you for having a miscarrige at 14 sweety.. It happens. You can't "stop" misccariages. Everything happens for a reason. I'm sorry what you went through. But you still shouldn't have put two different stories on the board. Anyway, sorry for your loss.
