Is the Retention of Organs From Fetuses/babies Wrong?

Just like to get a few oppinions on this subject as it is a huge problem in the uk.
There are a lot of doctors out there who belive they have the right to retain organs of fetuses/babies for medical science some may ask what is wrong with that? But these doctors are doing this without parental consent. How do people feel about this? Please let me know your oppinions.
Thanks

are you thinking of alder hey here?

Personally, I think there should be an opt-out scheme for post-18 posthumous organ donation rather than the current opt-in, as many people never get round to getting a donor card etc.

I'd like to see all parents donate their fetus/childs body, but I recognise that's not my choice to make. They should choose as even after death organ donation is a choice.

i am actualy thinking pendulbury childrens hospital as part of storm I would just like to point out that it is happening in over 50 hospitals in the uk. I certainly agree that organs are needed but as you said it should be with choice/ consent. What these doctors are actualy doing is only just short of body snatching. :(

I think it is wrong to do such a thing but at least these children have not died invain... Thankfully there death may help people... Never the less it is wrong for us to kill them for this purpose... If the child died of natural causes then I would have no problem with it.... So long as the mother allowed it... But if the mother chooses to abort why should the mother have any say over the child?

There is a much worse problem: the extraction of live fetus' keeping them alive for so long and using them to experiment on... That is just so wrong... Like how the doctors used still alive jews durring wwii to experiment on.... Really sometimes I wonder why all those soldiers died in wwii we may have beat germany but its obvious we still lost to the nazi ideology.

these children are dying of natural causes so why does that make it ok for doctors to steal their bodies / organs ? I for one will keep up the fight for my sons body although if asked I would probably allowed them to use my son to help look into disease and illness but this fact doe,snt mean that they can steal bodies therfore denying a family the right to bury their loved ones and go throught the normal motion of greive.
