Q: Very Strange Question

I have a very strange question. I dont know whether it is exactly from the neuro-surgical field, but if not, please correct me and tell me where does it belong. The problem started like this: I am 24 years old, and for a few years I have been feeling pain in my eyes, had vision-obscurations, also a feeling of pain and pressure in my head. No one could help me with it, neither ophthalmologists nor neurologists nor neuro-ophthalmologists, not orthoptists (i had a cross-eye problem too). I also had problems with high blood pressure. I was complaining about my eyes and my head for years and nobody could do anything.
Then I went to a chiropractor, which examined me and told me I have a problem with my neck. He told me it has an influence on my eyes and the blood flow to my head. What he told me is that the neck vertebras were not straight. But they could be manipulated and made straight, he promised me. He told me it probably will take a long period of time for the vertebras to set in a straight position, and I will have to visit him 3 or 4 times a week in which he will make a certain procedure. Also he underlined that all of this period I will have to sleep only on my back and try to always sit straight. The method of treatment was basically that he would turn my head from side to side very forcefully and make the joints "snap" and make a characteristical sound, and press here or there. Well, I visited him for 3 or 4 times a week for about 2 years. After some time I could "turn" my head and make it "snap" the way he did on my own. In some periods of time I really felt a bit better, and then worse again.
But then, suddenly, in some stage, I started feeling this strange feeling of pain when I put my head on the pillow, and a sensation of constant itching of my scalp. This was weird but I didn't pay it too much attention. But then something really bizarre started happening - I saw that my head has gradually and slowly started changing it's shape. I could feel this with my hand, and see this in a mirror. The change was that in some areas my head was kind of "pressed down" or "curved" (with a lack of a suitable word), it was "lower" than what it used to be, it was kind of "pressed in" in some areas (especially in the back of my head). Slowly the change in the shape of my head started being noticeable, not only to me (i tended to like very short haircuts so I guess it was more visible). This started to worry me. I went to the doctor, then to a neurologist, even to neuro-surgeon, but they said it couldn't be, and that they haven't heard of such things. They sent me to a few blood checks and made a roentgen, then a ct scan, and said there was'nt anything unusual there. But this is a fact. What could be the reason for that happening? Can one's scalp change it's shape so drastically? Were there other cases of similar phenomena? What should I do now? I am aware of the fact that this sounds very odd and strange, but I am at a loss, please try to help me if you can.

Strange Question
I think this is the part where you get a second opinion, preferrably from a medical center that specializes in neurology. If your head is indeed changing you need to make sure you are seeing a doctor regularly so that a baseline can be established and the changes monitored.

i think pascoe is correct. i looked up paget's disease and it seems possible. also, this may seem like a weird question, but are you from Europe, Australia, or New Zealand? this medical website says that people from those areas are more likely to get paget's. symptoms include bone pain, bowing of legs, enlarged head, fracture, headache, hearing loss, joint pain, neck pain, reduced height, skull deformities, and/or warmth of skin over the affected bone. it also seems that maybe you may have experienced a couple of different issues rather than one completely connected disease/disorder. i suppose it is possible that you could have mistaken your eye pain for a headache? i dont know but this seems like the best solution i can find. although the loophole is that a bone scan or x-ray should have picked up paget's. you really need a second opinion though, because that chairopractor seemed like a quack.
