I am looking for some help for my 81 year old mother who has survived 2 strokes and shingles in her eye.

She was a very healthy active senior.

Her speech, balance and comprehension have been affected mostly but overall she is a different person.

Can anyone that has a similar story talk to me?

Changes After Stroke
In my experience, I have met many stroke survivors that have shown a change in personalitty. Some are quiet when they used to be loud. One makes jokes all the time. He never joked before his stroke. I would argue with the wall before my stroke. Now I fall apart if u look at me wrong. Hope your mom is continuing to improve :d

My aunt had a stroke bout 5 years ago. Now her left arm is paralized(sp?) her left leg as very little feeling and strength. Before the stroke she was very active and fit. Now she has gained weight and cant walk for a long time so she uses a motor scooter. Im still unsure of what caused her stroke cause my family is very hush-hush bout things. I bleive it was because she smokes weed alot. Could that be the reason?
