Is it possible to be pregnant and still have your periods? Why does this happen?

It is sometimes hard to tell, because pms and pregnancy symtoms are all too much alike. However, you say that you are still having periods, which means that you were expecting to miss one period, so technically you would be late, even though you are having a period, so really, if you took a test right now, it would come up positive if you were pregnant. I would test.

there really are none...Except that your period may be differnt than usual...Shorter, thinner...Other such things.

I had my first period while I was pregnant with nate. So I didn't find out for awhile.

I'm sorry guys for bothering you again I know i've consulted my case already you know about touching my clit etc. And you all said no. That I can't be pregnant that way. And I already got my period it's normal and up to date and I don't experience other symptoms of pregnancy so maybe i' not really pregnant. I'm just being paranoid that's all. Thanks guys and merry christmas!!!

Ok guys, it's not that rare...
It isn't a "real period" but is in fact a period like bleed.
It is usually from either:
a) endometrial tissue in the cervix or around the surrounding area.
B) cervical abrasion - rough sex, cancer or other things
c) placental abruption - needs medical investigation.
There are tother causes but these 3 are the most common.
Any bleeding during pregnancy should be checked out by a health care professional

I was about to say what kia said... It isn't really a period, but period like bleeding. Because if were an actual period that would mean you would be ovulating while your already pregnant.. Lol you could get pregnant when your already pregnant.
