I have the most severe stomach pains after eating. This occurs almost always after I eat anything that contains grease or fat. They pain is so severe I am doubled over unable to move or end up lying in the fetal positon. The pains are intense sharp stabbing pains in my lower stomach. They then go from sharp and stabbing to a feeling of what I can describe only as "sour stomach" just a sick blahhhhhhhh feeling at this point in the cycle I have to run to get to the bathroom. The pain does not go away until I have emptied everything from my bowels. It last for hours until finally the diraharra is gone. I have been to the doctor several times and they never can find anything wrong. I was tested for a wheat allergy which came back negative and ibs was mentioned but no tests were ever run to comfirm anything. Does anyone else have this problem? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much. Sunny

Stomach Pains After Eating
I too suffer every time I eat, but the opposite happens to me. I can't go to the toilet unless I use a laxative. I feel very bloated and am unwell until the next morning. I have been tested for wheat allergy, and told I could have coeliac and ibs.

I have done all of the above but am still the same.

Sounds like it might be galbladder or possibly appendix--do you still have appendix??

My son cant eat grease after taking out appendix. Would be the same if its not working correctly. My sister in law cant eat greasy at all after taking out gallbladder, would be the same if gallbladder is not working correctly..

Ibs I have that too, but it usually affects me from spicey food, not greasy--but all pple are different. And I usually get constipation, but some pple get diarehea, or back and forth.

You could ask for u/s of your gallbladder, kidneys, appendix, liver, spleen, and if it is any of those organs they could see on the ultrasound.

Good luck let us know

Stomach problems since Appendectomy w/bowel issues also
My daughter had her appendix out and now isn't having regular bowel movements and her stomach hurts bad when she eats. She gets bad acid from things that you wouldn't think of as acidy, like tuna. Maybe its the oils in foods tho, like sauces or mayo. Thanx for your post - I'll check into this for her too - and good luck to ya'll also!!

Sounds a bit like pancreatitis. They often remove the gallbladder if you have chronic pancreatitis. Goggle it!

the appendix does not work or not work.. Its useless. It does nothing in digestion so your diet should be the same before and afterwards.

Its a bizarre thing why god/evolution gave us an appendix.

How long have you had the pain for? I had my appendix taken out about five years ago, it started out as stomach pains like the ones your experiencing but it wasn't after I ate. In fact, I could barely eat, I couldn't sleep to well and had bad bowels. The second day was when I got a high fever and went to the er. The following morning was when I went into surgery to get it taken out. Everyone is different so I hope you don't have what I had. Hope that helped you in some way!

Stomach Pains After Eating
I experinence pains in my lower abdomen after eating often, but not always. Its sharp pains that come about every 5 minutes or so and last for different amounts of time each time. This continues to happen usually until I use the bathroom. The pains get so severe sometimes that I double over as well. I havent been to a dr for it. And it happens irregularly but has been occuring for about a year now. And it occurs after a range of food from a subway sandwich to chicken strips, so I dont think its just with greasy foods. It sounds similar to what you described though so I thought i'd tell of my pains too.

It really sounds like ibs and I got a pain so bad one time I felt like id pass out, was driving when it happened. Scarey--ran into bestbuy and went then all went away. More water more leafy vegetables, milk is bad for me, cheese, cottage cheese. The worse time I just spoke of was day after jalapeno"s which I love to eat-- now I am afraid to eat them. My spell of ibs seems to have improved though lately, but ive had it off and on for years. Last time lasted about 8 months it was really bad spell, even ended up with some kind of inflamation in my internal organs with it. Since then its been really good actuallly with only a few mild crampin spells. My constipation gets worse, and my belly gets all swelled up and bloaty. Then I get this bout of diarhea for no reason and go like 6 times in one day--and it seems to get better after that. Like body trying to clear itself out. Real bad cramps with the diarhea also. Ibs is identified by constipation and diarhea together usually. Or one or the other

I had my appendix removed a month ago and if I eat something heavy I get bad stomach pain and usually have to go to the bathroom right away. Anyway if I were you i'd go to the doctor and have a catscan done so that they can take a look at your organs and see if there's a problem. I wouldn't risk it...

PAIN BAD PAIN
Hi, I am and 18 year old female and i have the same pain problems in my lower abdomen after i eat!! Sometimes this pain gets soo bad i cant take it i cry i fall to the ground its soo bad and soo uncontrollable!! I have had my gallbladder as well as my appendix taken out!! I have plycystic ovarian disease, insulin resistance, high blood pressure, ovarian cysts, blind in my left eye, and one other possible because the emergency room in my town is retarded they told me i had DIVERTICULITIS! Well later i went to my primary care physician and they told me that it wasnt in the records, well i found my paperwork thankfully!! Anyways i may or may not have this and it has to do with the bowel area! It mostly happens in people 40 and up which is why my case is rare!! Basically Diverticulitis is pockets that end up on your colon and intestines and this is called diverticulosis but then when these pockets get filled up they get infected and this is diverticulitis! Which bad cases some part of the Diverticulitis may be taken out in surgery! I dont know though i need help because i collapsed at work the other day because my pain was soo bad!! I dont understand!! And i always have diarrhea green and umm sometimes red and dark dark brown!!!

I read earlier as well somebody was talking about a son that had his appendix out and a sister or something that had their gallbladder out!!! As for getting sick because of taking you appendix out is wrong your appendix has not function none at all!!! Your gallbladder though i understand that part because they tell you that you can get a little sick after your gallbladder has been taken out!! They say that you can have diarrhea but theres not supposed to be bad bad bad pain like what i have!! Also when your gallbladder is taken out some people develope whats called dumping sydrome its kind of like when everything just goes right through you!! As for your son getting sick i would take him in and get his gallbladder checked!! They seem to walk hand in hand for some strange reason!! My younger sisters friend had the same thing as me she had her gallbladder taken out and then her appendix like 3 months later!! Strange i know but very possible!!! When you take your son to the doctor, however, absolutely ask for a HIDA scan because ultrasounds dont show the function of the gallbladder they check for it being enlarged and for gallstones, but a HIDA scan checks the function!! Your gallbladder is supposed to function at 40% or more but mine was only at 13% so it wasn't working and they never would have known if the HIDA scan wasn't done!!

But i need help with this pain i cant take it anymore!! I neeeeed help!! If anyone goes to the doc let me know what they say please!! This is unbearable!!

Thanks

NEWS FLASH APPENDIX is NEEDED
DRs dont understand fully the APPENDIX and what it may or may not be used for.

Open the hood of your car and just take any piece out of the engine, like a bolt thats not being used directly.

Later the whole engine falls apart because that bolt was holding the whole system together.

NEWS FLASH, you need your APPENDIX...it trains your immune system, it assists the whole delicate framework that is your body.

ive been ill ever since removal of my appendix.

appendix
My appendex was reomoved 2 weeks ago, i had internal bleeding after the surgery and needed to be reoperated on that same day. 3 blood transfusions and a week of having a drainage tube in my poor tummy Im feeling better except that i get horrible cramps that feel like menstreal cramps but worse. Their almost as bad as labor pains. I honestly believe that the appendix is needed by the human body. I also suffer fromextreme bouts of diahreha... the stuff thati i went through was ridiculous. Im only 21 years old.. and im in good shape, not over weight and not under. I was the youngest patient in the hospitals history to have such complications, i was just wondering if anyone else has had complications such as mine.

Severe Stomach pains
Well, I still have my appendix and my gallbladder and I have had the same symptoms for about 2 years now. Last year I spent all of my time at the hospital and they told me there was nothing wrong. I don't get it really you would think that its crones disease because thats when your body attacks food and thinks it needs to get rid of it but I was tested for that and it came back negative. But In December I had a colonoscopy and I felt great for about 3 months and then everything came back. I don't want to go to the doctors again because they don't seem to care down here. I was in the emergency room one night and I was lying doubled over in pain crying and the doctor walked in asked if I smoked I said yes and he said its the cigarettes and walked right back out and then a nurse came in and told me I was leaving. Just like that. So I don't know what to do but I'm sick of living like this I've cut my diet in half and nothing I don't eat but once a day now because of fear of getting sick, but now I weigh 200lbs and can't lose one pound and when all this started I weighed 130, so constantly having diarrhea and vomiting made me gain weight? If anyone else is having similar side affects let me know.

just a thought about the cigarettes. I had no idea the effect that cigarettes had on the GI system. I had all these pains all the time and they just came out of the blue. I smoked for 13 years before all this happened. I had my gall bladder taken out and have been diagnosed with diverticulitis, ibs and acid reflux. The doc told me that most of this was probably caused from smoking. So I quit, it took 3 months for my stomach and insides to 'heal' but wow what a difference! No pain and I could eat anything I wanted to at any time of the day. I was even regular! Same time every day, always consistent color and texture. I know for a fact that mine was caused by smoking because I still smoke when I drink and for a bout a week after that my stomach is in shambles. I only drink about once a month. So if you smoke, try quitting for a while, see if it helps. I noticed some improvement after just a couple weeks but it takes a few months at least to get to feeling healthy inside.
