Q: Question About Period...

Has anyone ever experienced a change in day in which your period started on birth control pills? (finishing ortho tri cyclen lo (2 years), changing to ortho tri cyclen).

I usually get my period on wed (once or twice on thurs) of my placebo pills (4th/5th day), sometimes I will start bleeding tues night. (since I started paying attention and writing it down in march) however, I started bleeding today (tues.), but it is exactly 28 days since my last period. This cycle however, I experienced a week and a half of breakthrough bleeding, where some days it looked as though I was actually having my period. But when I started my placebo pills on sun. I just had some brown discharge (sunday and monday), and the bleeding stopped. Im pretty sure this is my period, not breakthrough bleeding because I feel crappy (cramping, bloating, etc.).

I just wanted to see if anyone has experienced a change in the day in which their period started. I dont care what day of the placebo week it starts, as long as im bleeding (so I know im not pregnant) Smile...Even though I haven't had sex in three months Embarassed

im also started taking paxil cr this month, and found out that it reduces pms (a plus), and I think it balances my serontonin, which is probably why I got my period exactly 28 days this month, rather than 29/30.

Ps. Will I experience any side effects from switching to ortho lo to ortho?
Will I still be protected well, since im going straight through, or is it like starting pills all over again? Needing a backup method, 3 months for full effect?

Will my period be lighter and shorter due to the breakthrough bleeding? I dont know what my problem is, that im so worried. I haven't had sex in 3 months!! Ive done other things, but not that, and take my pills everyday. Im worrying now cuz im not bleeding any more, but ive had this happen on the first day where I bleed on and off.
