Hi

i slept with a girl who her friends say she may have aids im not sure.

2 things I am worried about.

1) when I fingered her I noticed after that some skin around my nails was loose but it wasnt bleeding. It may have been scabbed over. If she had aids could I contract it liek this?

Also

2) when I had sex with her I wore a condom which didnt break however a few days before while I was cutting my pubic hairs I nicked my skin but once again it wasnt bleeding at the time but was red like it was healling but was not an open wound.

When I took the condom off she had no blood anywhere but that night she slept at my house and I think she had her periods so im not sure what to think or what to do.

I may get myself tested in 6 weeks but this is on my mind..

What is the possibily I have contracted this??

Thanks for all your help

Go to a Dr. to Be Sure
Definitely go to your doctor. If you test positive, you can recieve treatment and live a normal life. After all, the drugs they have now for hiv are pretty good. If you are negative you can move on with your life happlily. I'm just a teen but maybe you are expreiencing other symptoms? - such as night sweats, flu- like symptoms, loss of appetite, weight loss? Go to your doctor. Choose to live. Keep me posted :)

Not Very Likely
Ok, you had protected sex. Good. Chances of catching hiv - extremely low.
Forget about the old nick in your crotch, if it wasn't fresh, hiv can't get through.
Fingering carries a very low risk. There have been no reported cases of hiv infecting this way. And just think of the millions of times it happens every day.
Hiv is not easy to catch. The reply from that teenager was written as though it was confirmed you were hiv positive, which I imagine scared you to death.
Just get tested three months after the exposure. Don't worry.

I'd Put Money On It...
Listen, u sound just like I did when I was worried.
You say "i think she may have said she might have aids"
dude, theres way too many mabyes in that statement. Go get her tested. Go get yourself tested. You'll see, your both negative. I had sex with a girl that was very permiscuous (40 ), it was protected. I was sooo worried for about 3 months while she and I had similiar symptoms: sever headaches, neorapathy, tightening of the throat, flu-meningitis type sickness, tongue blemishes, rashes... List goes on and on....
Turns out, my worry and her (actualy sickness) caused these things to happen man. Trust everyone when they say that the actualy risk of getting hiv from protected sex is zero, and from fingering her??! (for one man, is it possible you just noticed this "cut" on ur finger? And no, its almost again... 100% not likely ur going to get it that way). So stop worrying man, u probably had some freak out traumatic moment where u realized u had hiv, and its going to cause u a ton of worry if you dont calm yourself down, think about the realities of the situation logically. Again dude, theres not much I can say to calm u down, I know, but you should do it for your own well being.

Reaffirmation
Yes indeed, you did mean well. But you consider symptoms to be a reliable way of diagnosing hiv. This is wrong. Sadly, hiv is very difficult to diagnose by the symptoms that someone has. The initial illness that sometimes comes a couple of weeks after infection is very much like flu in most cases - fever, malaise, sore throat etc. Many, many people who believe themselves to be recently hiv also believe that any illness they have to be because of hiv, when in fact it is usually a normal everyday virus like...Flu. Of course, it's understandable that people worry, but remember - symptoms do not equal hiv. And in turn, hiv does not equal symptoms. Get tested after three months.
