I just found out that I need a hysterectomy, I have been bleeding for almost 4 weeks none stop, went to the doctor , thought it was a hormane inbalance. A shock to me when she seated me in her office to tell me I had 6 fibroid tumors,2 cysts,a infated fallopian tube and something else that she really couln't tell what it was in the wall of my uterus possibly poyps? After she sad all that I think I went deaf I never heard if the hysterectomy was going to be complete or just a partial. I did hear her say that the cysts was her biggest concern, the largest tumor was the size of a large marble. My question is will I bleed any after surgery and what will sex be like, will it still feel the same and how most huband feel about the sex

A lot of it depends on whether you keep your ovaries or not. If your one tube and ovary is too damaged, it's still quite easy to get by on one ovary and maintain a healthy level or hormones. You're very young to go on hrt.

There's a site where you can talk to women who have had hysterectomies (all types of hysters for all reasons) called Hystersisters. There's also a portion of the online forum there called the hormone jungle where you get get first person advice on balancing hormones after an oophorectomy.

I had a hyster earlier this summer for 12 fibroids (weighing about 1.4 pounds total) and a polyp. I kept my ovaries and they're working splendidly - my sex drive is exactly the same as before. I had some bleeding after surgery, but nothing that required more than a pantyliner.

Take care.

Hysterectomy
this is for doola, I am 42, I had an hysterectomy last year, and let me tell you, that your sex life will not be affected at all, you will enjoy sex as much, if not more than before. There is one thing though, ask your doctor about early menopause after hysterectomy, as you may need hormone replacement therapy, you need to ask her, if your problem has only than solution, maybe there is another way, sometimes, they take the easier way, get a second opinion, always!!!

46 and no uterus
I will give you the same advice that my Dr. gave me, see a fertility expert. they want to save your uterus. they will if they can. My sex drive now is greater than it ever was. I kept my cervix and ovaries. I also bled severly for 9 mos. prior to the hysterectomy.
