dry mouth and a constent pressure in my chest , but i dont want to go to docter if there is reasonable explanation.

Heart problems are possible at any age. I don't see a reason why you shouldn't visit your GP for a regular check up such as: measuring your blood pressure, auscultation, ECG, calculating body/mass index. Also, standard blood analyzes include: blood count, hemoglobin, sedimentation, lipid status, liver status...

possible
My mother had her first heart attack as a 38 yr old and her second at 42. She does not have high blood pressure or high cholesterol and no family history. It can be possible for anyone. My suggestion? If you think you are having one, go in and get it checked out. It's so much better to get it checked out and not be anything than to not get it checked out and have a fatal situation on your hands.

Hello vwinvw714,

Your mother is a perfect example of someone with no family history of high blood pressure or high cholesterol who had a heart attack.

I don't understand why these Doctors tell us to eat healthy and exercise to prevent any heart disease or problems. I don't believe that eating healthy and exercise can prevent Heart Disease.

I had a friend who was 5'9" great shape in exellent health who took a heart attack for no apparent reason.

I also have a friend who is approximently 110lbs. overweight eats nothing but high fat and cholesterol foods and has never had any health issues. Sometimes I wonder why these Dr.s preach to us and tell us to eat healthy and exercise.

I would love to hear their explanation on my incidents concerning my friends.

Thanks for posting that about your mom, it proves that anyone can have a heart attack.

Kathy

I do believe that doctor opinion is based on research. A typical diet of red meat and starches (breads, pastas, potatoes) can block arteries, for one! Secondly, diet is the basis of all health...and if diet is not optimized, the body gets stressed and ill. What goes in is what comes out.

Nonetheless, most people are not ready to make the changes necessary in order to ensure good health...(see the last article). Food gives quality of life, period. I don't really think that you have an argument here, Kathy.

Doctors tell you stuff for your best they cant guarteed you to have no heart attack at thirty ............its highly unlikely.
if they told you that you werent going to have one then you did ....
thats there job off line.

And eating healthy lowers your chances and can cause build in arteries if fatty eating all the time

Its why most of america is obess!

Hello Ladies,

I do understand that eating healthy is good for you and possibly lowers your risk of heart disease.

I just don't understand how someone who eats very healthy can have a heart attack. It does not make any sense. Here he is taking good care of himself for over 20 years and he has a heart attack. He never smoked, did drugs, ate junk food, always works out and is in terrific shape. The Dr.s even don't understand why he took a heart attack. He was not under any stress, he has a great job that is not stressful.

He said to the Dr.s well, all that eating healthy and taking care of myself did not pay off because I took a heart attack anyways.

So, I do believe that you could be in exellent shape and have a heart attack, my friend is living proof.

I'm sorry to hear that. Did you friend have any genetic predisposition to heart disease? Did heart trouble run in the family? Perhaps this condition was genetic?

Hello Rooted,

No, no heart disease in the family. His parents are still alive with no known health issues.

This is what is scary, you never know what life is going to throw at you. One day your here next day your gone.

I have anxiety and take medication for it because my anxiety is a fear of dying. Especially when someone drops dead of a heart attack for no apparent reason.

LIfe is not fair, and there are many times when I think to myself, why was I ever born. Someday we are all going to pass on and I live everyday thinking about it.

How am I going to die? What am I going to die of? How old will I be?

Kathy

I totally understand. For a while there, I really wasn't excited to get out of bed not b/c I was afraid of dying, but b/c I felt like nothing really mattered. Have you tried talking with someone about this? There ARE people who can help you process your fear and transform it into something different.
